Every student now has the opportunity to soar. Every student has Champions.

Wi******er Public Schools with the help of Wi******er Education Foundation and many generous donors created the Emil & Grace Shihadeh Innovation Center to provide students the opportunity to explore poverty-defeating careers and become certified in local, high paying employment so they are ready to find a pathway to success immediately after graduation. For those students who want higher education the innovation center provides an opportunity to learn and discover unique skills. If a student cannot afford college and they want to stay local and work local, Opportunity Scholars- Wi******er, VA is providing the opportunity to go to college at LITTLE OR NO COST at Shenandoah University. There students can pursue degrees in education, information technology, medical services, business administration, and law enforcement. Additionally, if neither of the above opportunities work for students, Opportunity Scholars will pay for students to attend trade schools. A better future is available to everyone who wants it.

You can help! Spread the word about these opportunities. Follow these organizations on their social media platforms. Consider making donations to the Wi******er Education Foundation and Opportunity Scholars. If you have questions, use the contact features on the websites OR let me know. I'm so proud of our community. We have so much to do and now have so many resources for success.

POSTPONED: We hope that all of our loyal fans have stayed safe and healthy as we work through the challenges caused by Covid-19. Due to the ongoing Covid-19 challenges and current health and safety guidelines set forth by public health officials, the decision has been made to postpone An Evening with Ronnie Milsap – The Patsy Cline Classic XI once more from Saturday, April 17, 2021to the new date of Saturday, October 23, 2021. Based on the recent news of the vaccine continuing to be administered to those in our community and around the nation, we are confident that this will be our last postponement and we remain committed to delivering a 1st class entertainment event with Ronnie Milsap to the Wi******er community.

All tickets / seat locations for the show will be honored and will be transferred to the rescheduled date of October 23, 2021.

Please let us know if you have any questions via email - [email protected] or by calling the box office at 540-533-6397

The 2020 Wi******er Education Foundation Board wishes you and your family a Happy New Year! I am beyond proud of all of the accomplishments that we made despite the circumstances our world faces. We are proud to serve our community and the students of Wi******er Public Schools!

Next year our Board will look a little different as Scott Arthur and Kimberli Ball step down from the Board after over a decade of serving! Both members hold a wealth of knowledge and history and will truly be missed! If you see them in the community-thank them!

As we enter a new year I want to tell you that we will
continue to work just as hard in this coming year because we are committed to supporting our great schools for your amazing children! Stay Safe out there! Blessings to all!

"To whom much is given, much is expected" ... there is no better time in our nation's history to take those words to heart. I am so proud of the work of Senator Russ Potts, my mentor and friend, and his team, as they build on their success with the Shihadeh Innovation Center. I have no doubt it will be a model for the rest of the Commonwealth. As a former resident of Wi******er and the mother of three JHHS graduates, keep up the great work Wi******er!
