The Wayne Chicken Show

The Wayne Chicken Show

Due to continued concerns stemming from COVID-19, the 40th Annual Wayne Chicken Show has been rescheduled for Saturday, September 12, 2020. After consultation with the Northeast Nebraska Public Health Department, the staff at Wayne Area Economic Development determined that the health and safety of visitors, vendors, volunteers, participants and most especially, the Wayne Community must come first.

Along with the rescheduled date, the 40th Annual Wayne Chicken Show will be condensed to a one-day event, which will combine many of the signature Wayne Chicken Show activities into one big ‘Bird’-day Bash. Similar to past Chicken Shows, area groups and organizations will have an opportunity to integrate their events or activities into the single-day schedule.

We appreciate the Wayne community's support of this event over the last 40 years and hope to have a clucking good time on September 12.

Upcoming: WCT's holiday show, with a twist:

"A dark, dark Christmas comedy. Scandal erupts at the North Pole when one of Santa's eight tiny reindeer accuses him of sexual harassment.
As mass media descends upon the event, the other members of the sleigh team demand to share their perspectives, and a horrific tale of corruption and perversion emerges, which seems to implicate everyone from the littlest elf to the tainted Saint himself. With each deer's confession, the truth behind the shocking allegations becomes clearer and clearer. ...and murkier and murkier."

Tickets will be available at the door on performance evenings starting at 6 PM (show at 7.)
