The Waycross Police Department has a program called E.D.W.I.N’S Gift (Evaluating Disabilities While In Need). The program was generated to help Adults or Children with a mental disability, autism, dementia, or Alzheimer’s in our community to receive help immediately if he or she becomes lost from a caretaker or guardian. When an officer on patrol comes in contact with a person who has disabilities, he or she can check the E.D.W.I.N’s Gift database and find out about disabilities, calming techniques, fears and contact information for that individual and render aid based on the information stored in the system. The Waycross Police Department wants to insure the safety of all of our citizens, especially ones that need extra care. The guardian or caretaker of the adult or child will need to come to the Waycross Police Department and sign a Waiver of Consent Form that contains the person’s information, a photo, medications and emergency contacts. If you have a loved one that you would like to register for the program please contact Officer Donna Waters at 912-287-2921.

A message from Night to Shine-Kingsland First Baptist Church !
Dear Guests, Parents and Caregivers,
We are excited to announce that guest registration for Night to Shine 2021 is open! We apologize in advance for the lengthy email but please read all the way through as there is a lot of information you will need to know.
Some of you may remember we sent an email earlier in the year to let you know the Tim Tebow Foundation has decided to move this year's celebration to a virtual one. This was not a decision they arrive at easily but in the end, after much prayer and discussion, the foundation felt this was the right decision given the current situation with the pandemic. We believe the Tim Tebow Foundation has done a wonderful job in planning the event.
As always, if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at [email protected].
We are so excited for the 2021 Night to Shine Virtual Experience and hope that you will join us on Friday, February 12, 2021 for this amazing event! We wanted to send some information your way to help guide you through what to expect and some ways you can add to the experience. We know this year will look a little bit different, but are still so excited to celebrate you! As you anticipate this special night, here are some details that we hope will help you feel at ease and ready to have a great time!
Before Night to Shine—
Register for Night to Shine
Even though Night to Shine will not be in person this year, we still ask that you register. We want to be sure to have a gift for you and your contact information so we can send you updates and important details about the event.

Pick out what you’re going to wear
We encourage you to pick out a dress, tux, or any other outfit that makes you feel amazing! Even though you will be celebrating Night to Shine at home, we encourage you to still dress up for your special night.
To make the event feel more festive, consider decorating the room where you will watch the Night to Shine Virtual Experience. Hang streamers and balloons or string up some twinkle lights.
Decide on dinner
Consider cooking your favorite meal at home or order takeout from your favorite restaurant—be sure to plan ahead so that you have a delicious meal or snacks ready to go.
Be on the lookout for an e-mail from us with the link to the 2021 Night to Shine Virtual Experience
We will be emailing a link for you to click that will take you to a website with a pre-recorded Night to Shine video made especially for you. The video will include some surprise celebrity guests, singing, dancing, and of course, a crowning ceremony!!
Receive your Night to Shine Gift Kit
We will email instructions at a later date with information on when and how guests/parents/caregivers may pick up the gift kits. Please make sure you provide a good email address during registration.
Day of Night to Shine, February 12, 2021—
Get dressed up – put on that outfit you picked out and strut your stuff!
We hope you’ll take pictures all through the night. Walk your own, private red carpet (any carpet will do or a hallway) at home. Get family members involved as your personal photographers! We would love for you to tag us in pictures of each guest enjoying the night and will provide instructions on how to do that in a later email.
Don’t dance on an empty stomach! Pull out the fancy china or festive partyware and make dinner or get take-out from your favorite restaurant.
Enjoy Night to Shine Virtual Experience
You will be able to start the NTS video at your convenience at home by clicking the link we will send to you.
The Night to Shine Virtual Experience will be between 30-60 minutes in length and can be started at any time after 6:00 p.m. (EST) on February 12. It’s not a live stream, so you don’t have to worry about missing a thing!
Get ready to dance, sing, and enjoy a special night from home created just for you—be sure to have your gifts on hand and your crown or tiara at the ready for the crowning moment!
After Night to Shine—
Please send us any pictures and videos that you took—we’d love to see you celebrating your Night to Shine! Again, we will provide instructions in a later email so we can share your experience with the Tim Tebow Foundation.
