Another catastrophe strikes in Rohingya camp. The recent monsoon rains caused a massive flood and mudslides in the camp which destroyed many homes.
Massive fire also very frequent in the camp. International community needs to realize more than 1 million refugees living in less than 25 square miles. It is totally unsustainable for the Rohingya refugees living in this condition for year after year. What choice they have? But to endure these calamities one after one! 😢
BDesh Foundation stands by the Rohingya refugees since August 2017, and ever since BDesh providing services to the community. But Rohingya crisis needs an international outcry!

A letter from Rohingya Refugee

Let's make a circle for our next generation.
By: Md Younus Arman
06-20-2021

Everyone has different kinds of dreams in their lives about future like to be a Lawyer,Doctor,Pilot,Scientific,Philosopher, or Teacher but my dream is to be release from this refugee life. However, I see my future is darkness here, In the refugee camp where i am living here since three decades under the plastic shelter still now without any solutions and the camp is like a prison for me where everything are been restricted for us as being refugees.
This refugee life making me mentally illness day by day. Yet, Rohingyas are hungry for education, peace, as well as justice . The future which I want is to change the world. My future is in the international community’s hands. Allah is my director. We all need to be together for bringing peace.

We are living in Bangladesh Rohingya refugee camp since 1991, the most advanced age of human civilization. But still, Rohingya are denied of our basic citizenship rights and all the other rights that should be upheld by the state.

Our people need a proper way to learn about the world, and to see it for ourselves. When a community has been caged for three generations the people become short-sighted. We need a proper way to broaden our worldview.

As a 26-year-old Rohingya youth who has faced extreme hardship under Myanmar’s brutality, I am making a request to the Bangladesh government and international community, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), and non-governmental organizations.

Our people remain unaware that societies around the whole world have become empowered and well-developed.
Our food, clothes, shelter, and other materials have all been provided by UNHCR and other international NGOs for years; we have lost our former self-reliance. This harsh camp life should be temporary, yet nothing is guaranteed for our future progress. It may take time, but perhaps after 10 or 20 years the Myanmar government will restore our rights and let us live freely in Arakan. But at that time, what will Rohingya do if we haven’t developed any human resource talent equipped with the rich variety of specialized knowledge needed for today’s world?

We need it all: education experts, businesspeople running companies in every sector, policymakers, technologists, and so on. Each of these is extremely important for a community, a minority people, to develop itself. But we still don’t have these types of human resources among Rohingya refugees.
To the international community, I beg you: please don’t think only about our short-term survival in this refugee camp. Please think of our futures.

Note: This refugee life making us mentally illness day by day. Please help us to build a road to reached our destination. We don't want to a burden for others.🙏

A father wants to live for his children .............. Will all the kind people of Saidpur and around the world pay a little Attention. **************************************** He has two beautiful children. One is two and an half years old and the other is 6 years old. The father is now in uncountable thinking about their future. His name is Bulbul Ahmed. A salon artisan by profession. With a small shop in Saidpur Plaza, the days were spent with his wife and children. But who knew a small happy family would be saddened by the lack of some money in the face of a disease. What will happen to those two small children in the future? Because their father is getting poorer day by day due to a complex disease, the fear of Bone cancer is knocking on the door. There is no other earning person in the family except Bulbul. Bulbul's left leg has been broken for a long time. Little treatment was going on despite some financial difficulties. But now there is no way without surgery. If it is not done in the next 15-20 days as per the doctor's advice, if the ball bone in the waist is 60% crippled and the remaining 20% is a little sideways, there is a 100% risk of bone cancer along with paralysis and even death. There is currently no alternative but surgery. In these 15-20 days, the operation will cost Around 5 To 6 Hundred Thousand Taka and it will take 6 months to recover, the doctor said. Since this helpless brother is a very poor day laborer. With two children and the future of the wife. At present it is not possible for him to spend this huge amount of money on treatment. However, he believes that there are many Benevolent people in the society who help the helpless victims of bulbul-like situations to live. Can't we assure his two innocent children that your father will be fine? When you are healthy, will your father caress and caress you again? Yes, I can if my heart is a little happy. So call for cooperation as much as possible from their respective places. What I do know is that this sadakaya continues to be the certificate of our liberation on the Day of Judgment....
