Congrats! Beautiful pic!
On behalf of the Smithton Lions Club, I would like to nominate Mr. Dale Blaes as a Smithton Hometown Hero. During Dale’s tenure as a Smithton resident, he contributed his time to help bring the Smithton library to reality. He also worked as the Smithton postmaster delivering mail to all Smithton residents, and was a member of the Smithton Volunteer Fire Department putting out fires when needed. Dale joined the Smithton Lions club in 1997 to help families and individuals in need of hearing aids and eye glasses. He became the Lions Club president from 2005 – 2007, 2009 – 2018, and again in 2019-2020. Dale has had to deal with family health issues as well as his own through the years, but has always tried to prioritize the wellbeing of others before himself. It is because of his service to the Smithton Community that we would like to recognize and thank Mr. Dale Blaes.
