It saddens us to announce that Due to Sacramento County reverting to more restrictive Covid “purple” tier, VFW Post 67 will once again have to cease operations. No MEMBERS/AUXILLIARY monthly meetings will be conducted at this time. The effective date of our closure was Friday, November 13, 2020 and will remain in effect until further notice.
Emails have been sent to our members, and post cards are also being sent out, as well.

#StillServing showcases how America’s military veterans continue to serve in ways outside of their military service. Veterans are involved in their communities and exemplify the best of America, and many are VFW members representing the heart of today’s VFW. Veterans make a difference, and the VFW wants #StillServing to give them the respect and recognition they are due.
One of the oldest VFW Posts in Sacramento, chartered January 3, 1917, Post 67 has a rich tradition of providing services and support to veterans, their spouses and their families. We act as a VA liaison to assist veterans in tackling a wide range of problems from securing military benefits to acquiring well-deserved military awards. We are here to serve all Veterans, regardless of where or when you served in the United States military.
In addition, we also offer a great venue for those in Sacramento and surrounding areas to not only contribute to the community, but to meet local veterans as well. Whether you want to kick back and share some drinks at the cantina with friends, get involved in the running of the Post, or just hang out with the family during one of our many sponsored events, Post 67 is here for you.
If your military service included qualifying combat or hazardous duty, and you would like to join Post 67, we invite you to fill out our membership application, which can be picked up at our facility or you can request one to be mailed by giving us a call.
Be the first to know and let us send you an email when Lieut. Lansdale Post No. 67 posts news and promotions. Your email address will not be used for any other purpose, and you can unsubscribe at any time.

The VFW provides an understanding circle of friends for both vets and family members. This is especially important for vets and spouses after the loss of their partners. Because of the nature of the activities of VFW Posts, involvement provides opportunities to enjoy many social events together and chances to work for causes and on projects that are of interest and/or call for specific skills, talents of individuals, couples and entire families.
For example, the Post 67 weekly Community Sunday Brunches ($9) from 8:30 to 12:30 every week attract folks from single vets, to entire 4-generational families! The same is true of the Wednesday Potluck Lunches (Free if a dish is brought, otherwise just $5 ) from 12 noon to 2 PM. Guests of members are also welcome. There are also last-Friday-of-the-month birthday parties, Friday Karaoke and other such events on specific holidays, and much more.
The canteen serves the usual beverages but non-alcoholic drinks, soda and coffee are available and two large screen TV’s show the usual programs and there is a continuous Armed Forces TV feed on important military subjects. We also have a large pool table, dartboard and a shuffleboard table for relaxed, friendly competition.
There are also Community service opportunities for vets and for the community in general: Color-Guard teams for vet funerals, fix-up/clean-up projects for disabled vets and families, volunteering in our Military Research Center/Library/Archives, or even helping us as servers and dishwashers for our Community Sunday Brunch. Helping out any of our community organizations that we sponsor.
