Dear Bruce Samlan Families,
First and foremost, the BSSL Board would like to thank you for all your patience and support during these unprecedented times. We appreciate all your faith in our recreational league. The decision on playing a contact sport this 2020 year has not been without its challenges. Our number one priority is the safety of our players and families. We have continued to do our due diligence with contacting/following the guidelines set forth by the CDC, IDPH, IYSA, Roscoe Township, and the State of Illinois’ Restore Illinois Order.
It is with a heavy heart to inform you, that the Board has decided to not move forward with a Fall 2020 soccer season. With all the uncertainty with this pandemic, amount of restrictions/guidelines for each player and family, having Cross Park currently at an “enter at your own risk” ordinance, and having open vacancies on the Board that is why our decision is to not hold a fall soccer season. We are working with Sport Engine to refund all player registrations. Refunds should be expected between 3-4 weeks. Any player(s) that signed up for the recreational soccer season through Tiger’s Elite - Tony Pipitone, he will be contacting you about your refund.
We will have a few fields set up at Cross park for families to enjoy some soccer this summer and fall. Please use the state guidelines and Township “enter at your own risk” ordinance for use. We wish for you and your family to stay safe and healthy. We remain optimistic and hopeful to return to play in 2021.
We are always looking for volunteers to join the Board. We are in need of Board Members and Member at Large. Please contact Kelly Weber at [email protected] for more information. Our current openings include:

Take Care and Best Wishes,
BSSL Board of Directors
