between the phases outlined by state and local governments. 😄🎾

Reston Association will be bringing tennis and pickleball facilities back online with a staggered opening planned to begin during Phase I. Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam has tentatively set the start of Phase I in Northern Virginia for May 29. As additional staff is brought back and state and local government restrictions regarding the COVID-19 pandemic are lifted, remaining facilities will begin to open. More details to follow soon.
Please note that with the potential reopening of these facilities, social distancing guidelines should still be followed so that we can continue to #FlattenTheCurve!

Recreation Facilities Closed: Due to state mandates and public health guidelines related to the coronavirus (COVID-19), Reston Association has closed all tennis courts, tot lots, basketball courts and pavilions. Parklands and ballfields remain open, but social distancing protocols are encouraged in order to prevent the spread of the virus.

Reston Tennis was presented the “Public Facility of the Year” award by the Professional Tennis Registry. Reston Association Tennis and Pickleball Manager, Rob Tucker, accepted the award at the international tennis symposium held in South Carolina on Feb. 12-13.
Pickleball programming will be starting later this month at the Autumnwood Courts 1&2! We wanted to share the information with you since the schedule of open play and lessons is now complete and on sale. The attached flyer should explain the Pickleball lesson and drop in play but here it is in a nutshell.
Autumnwood 1 &2
Drop in Pickleball: Monday/Wednesday/Sunday 8:00am-1:00pm
Pickleball players will have priority of courts 1 & 2 on these days & times. Courts 3 & 4 will remain open to tennis players during these times
Pickleball Lessons: Will be Tuesdays 6-9pm & Thursdays 9am-Noon.
Courts 3 & 4 will remain open for tennis play.
Pickleball players will have access to the courts during any operational hours at Autumnwood 1 & 2. Courts will change on the hour for singles and doubles will get two hours. One or Two players is considered singles and Three or Four players is considered doubles. All other rules stated at the courts will remain the same.
RA provides paddles and balls for all drop-in play and during lessons so you can experience pickleball with out having to purchase paddles or balls.
Reston Association’s Racquet Demo Day was a great success! Everyone had fun trying out the new Dunlop,Head, Babolat, Wilson and Yonex racquets and winning great prizes!
