"Best of All" from RLT's "Cinderella"
While we are missing our community, friends, and family in many ways this year, we are always truly fortunate for all the memories that we have created together. We hold these memories with joy and hope as we look toward a time when we can all be back together creating again.

RLT Postpones 2020-21 Season
Based on new safety guidelines related to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have made the difficult but necessary decision to completely postpone our 2020/2021 season. We are postponing the season for one year, so our Season of Great Heights will now be RLT’s 2021/2022 season.
Watch this video to hear from Patrick Torres, Artistic Director, and Heather Strickland, Executive Director, regarding the decision to postpone the season as well as the exciting new opportunities it presents, including a reimagined Teens on Stage / Teens Backstage program and Divas!

RLT’s “The Jungle Book” Cancellation
It is with sadness that we announce our production of "The Jungle Book," originally scheduled to run March 20 - April 5, has officially been canceled. We’ve put together a video announcement with more information that also gives you a glimpse of the amazing set and costumes that our volunteers created for this production! Please take a moment to check it out and honor their phenomenal work.
All current ticket holders will be contacted by our box office staff this week regarding your refund options. We gracefully ask that you consider converting the cost of your tickets into a donation to the theatre if possible. Please email [email protected] if you have questions.

“Always Look on the Bright Side of Life”
Thanks for all of the support on #GivingTuesdayNow! Not only did we reach our goal of selling out the Sutton Theatre, we raised enough for TWO sold-out houses - and then some! Our fundraising total for the day was an incredible $3900 - we are SO grateful!
Thank you also to Brian Westbrook for this fun video he made to celebrate reaching that stretch goal. We miss having you on our stages, but we know we'll all be back together soon. Please enjoy Brian's performance of "Always Look on the Bright Side of Life" from Monty Python's Spamalot! (contains adult language) #RLTSellOutTheSutton

#RLTSellOutTheSutton
Thank you from RLT!
About six weeks ago, Raleigh Little Theatre closed its doors to the public and asked for your help to keep our community theatre afloat during these uncertain times. Since March 19, you have helped us raise just shy of $37,000! We are so incredibly grateful to the 109 generous donors that contributed to this total.
We have felt the love and support of our amazing RLT community more over the past few weeks than ever before. The future of many productions and programs at RLT are still uncertain, so please continue to spread the word about the theatre and give if you're able. We sincerely appreciate your continued generosity and support!
As a special "thank you," please enjoy this video of the RLT staff reciting Shakespeare's Sonnet 29. Sonnet 29 was written in 1592 when the London theatres closed due to a severe outbreak of plague. The closing of the playhouses made it hard for Shakespeare and other actors of the day to earn a living, and it is believed these events may have inspired the themes of the sonnet.
An Update from Patrick: COVID-19
Raleigh Little Theatre is already feeling the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Get an update from Artistic Director Patrick Torres on the state of things at RLT and how you can help, both now and in the future when we re-open our doors. This is YOUR theatre, and we can't wait to tell stories with you again soon.

RLT Season Announcement 2020-21
We’ve done the maths and have added new shows for The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time! Tickets now on sale for Feb 6, 7, and 8. A sensory-friendly performance will take place on Feb 9, as previously announced. 💫
Giving Tuesday thank you from RLT.
"It's kept our family close together..."
#GivingTuesdayRLT is going strong, but we still need your help!
If you haven’t heard about the Holbrook family, their story will give you a healthy dose of holiday cheer. Susan, her daughter Carro, and her granddaughter Madeline come to “Cinderella” together every year. It’s been a holiday tradition for this family that spans four generations and 35 years!
Support the shows that bring families together by making a special #GivingTuesday donation! We've already raised $5000 today, which will fund student matinees for 2020. We now have another generous donor pledging to match every additional donation up to $2500 to fund sets and costumes for "The Jungle Book." It’s up to YOU to get us to the finish line.
As a special “thank you,” everyone who donates today will be invited to a magical backstage tour of “Cinderella”!
"There's a space for everybody"
Happy #GivingTuesday! Today is a global day of giving, powered by the passion of individuals.
These three girls might be some of the most passionate individuals we know. Laura Lillian, Jenna, and Elikya had done some shows at RLT separately. Everything changed when they were cast together in the Teens On Stage production of “Antigone” this summer. They didn’t just get theatre classes, they found a place where they belong.
Change the lives of kids like these three teens by making a donation for #GivingTuesdayRLT. We hope to raise $5000 today, which will cover all student matinees in 2020. RLT offers two student matinees for every Family Series show and will offer its first matinees in over ten years to high schoolers in April with “A Raisin in the Sun.” A former board member will get us halfway there with a pledge to match every donation up to $2500. It’s up to YOU to get us to the finish line. Plus, if you donate on Facebook today, your donation could be DOUBLED with another match from Facebook!
Don’t forget, everyone who donates today will be invited to a backstage tour of “Cinderella”! Because who doesn’t want to know how she changes her dress so quickly?
Summer camp starts soon! Staff is making sure everything is ready for your arrival, and openings remain in camps for rising 1st-12th graders, so make sure you secure your spot today: https://raleighlittletheatre.org/education/
