It's me, Sebastian! I'm the handsome one in my new Forever Dad's lap! Yep, I got adopted! I live with a new brother, Winston, who is a rescue dog like me too! With all my health issues, I have EPI and heart meds and eye drops, my new family loves me even more! Is this new family lucky to have me, or am I a lucky dog, or what? I think we all won the lottery! Thank you for giving me a second chance and thank you EJ, Judy and Winston for loving me for forever! Now where are those treats......💕🐾

💔Our hearts are broken. Our silly forever foster Charlie crossed the Rainbow Bridge, he had Cushing's disease and recently his kidneys began to fail him. We made that dreadful decision to let him have his wings, never an easy decision to make. He was loved and incredibly cared for by his foster parents, especially his Mom who doted on him and we know she will miss his silly antics. Even though Charlie took a piece of her heart, she will always have him in her heart. Because of you, he knew love in his last few years up until his last breath. We are forever grateful for the love his Mom gave him and our thoughts are with her.

Hi it's me Adam! I had a great visit with the vet the other day, well, until they told me about some dental thing. I waited so patiently in the car for my turn and was a good boy for everyone. They kept hugging and snuggling with me... maybe because I had a nice bath in the morning and smelled so handsome! (I am quite handsome after all). Doc says I need to have my dental in a few weeks. Yikes, I heard him say I may have 2-6 teeth pulled! They say it won't hurt, right! I'm not believing that. My foster mom is looking forward to some better breath! Thanks to each of you for springing me from the shelter and giving me a second chance! I'm not yet ready for adoption, takes patience they say.
Wags and licks,
Adam🐾

Thanks to you, Marsha had her dental yesterday and is doing great! Marsha was pulled from a shelter. She was already missing 16 teeth and had to have 8 more extracted! Her coat is coming in, and her ear infection is all better. You made a difference for Marsha and she will have her second chance. 💕

Angel alert! Charlie needs all your positive support. He’s a long term foster with Cushing’s Disease and now he’s got some kidney issues. The vet isn’t sure if it’s permanent or, hopefully, temporary. He’s hospitalized now so he can get fluids to flush his kidneys.

This picture speaks so loudly to the dedication and love our volunteers provide to the dogs in our care. Charlie came to us morbidly obese. Thanks to the great care provided by our volunteer, Charlie is in very good body weight.

Please keep Charlie and his foster family in your positive thoughts!

Nom, Nom, Nom. Dinner is pawtastic! It must be good, I've gained a pound already! Oh, it's me, Fiona, in case you didn't recognize me wearing my stylin' snood to keep my ears clean! I know you want to taste my delicious dinner but I'm not sharing.......I'll share an update though....
My eye is getting better with all the medications I get. I went to have more blood work done....I don't like that but I know they're trying to get me healthy so what's a girl to do! They said it takes about a week to get test results so I'll be sure to update you. Gotta go, and eat more dinner!
Wags and Licks,

Adam here, snoring away! I feel so safe now I sleep with it all exposed and they had to edit my picture cuz' I'm feeling so secure in my wonderful foster home. They thought I was too revealing and it's a family page or something like that so I have a paw print as a censor. It's exhausting being a dog ya know! I'm one of the Cavaliers from the shelter and I'm doing great thanks to all of you! I am waiting to get a thing called dental, boy does that make me want to just keep sleeping, yikes it even sounds awful, maybe the vet will have to postpone...... I'm learning what they call manners, my mom says I'm smart, but hey she's got treats so I am on to her now, just do what she says and I get food, it's easy! My favorite thing is learning to ring a bell to go outside! I'll work on getting some pics of that, it's a work in process. I like all the volunteers and all of you for helping the Rescue Trust help me get a second chance! Look for bells ringing soon!! Sweet dreams everyone!

Congratulations to RT alumn Timmy!! He competes in Fast CAT and had a great time at a weekend event. This is a competitive and fun activity for a dog with high prey drive. They run a timed 100-yard dash where the dog chases a lure. He has about 50 points toward a title but really he doesn't care about winning, he just does it for fun! GO TIMMY!!

Hope your Sunday is as relaxing as mine! It's me, Fiona, taking it easy, which is about all one can do with this thing over my head, have you ever worn one? I'm being good about getting all the medicine in my eye and taking life easy. I am being cared for by an awesome foster family and have other Cavaliers, one special RT alumn, who is showing me the routine here, I like her, she cuddles with me too! I've had some issues over the weekend so the Rescue Trust is getting me in to see the vet for some more testing this week, for EPI. I think that means more needles...yikes! My foster mom said I'll get treats to make it better, yum! She better remember to bring them....
I just want to thank all of you who support the Cavalier Rescue Trust and make my care possible and for giving me a second chance! I'll update you all when we all know more!! Happy Sunday!
Wags and Kisses,
Fiona💋💕

My name is Fiona and I'm new to the Rescue Trust. My owner could no longer take care of me because of some sad life changes. Don't let my looks fool you, I may be an older gal, but I've got a lot of spunk left in me! I can't be sure if I'm 12 or 13 years old, but would you believe it, I don't have a heart murmur and I'm heartworm negative?!! I need to gain some weight and with the good food I'm getting now, I should do so. I have severe dry eye (Keratoconjunctivitis sicca) that has caused ulcers in both of my eyes. One has resolved and healed, but the other one is pretty severe, infected and ouchy! I'm on drops 4 times daily and ointment 3 times daily and I have a medication for the pain. It really helps! Once I get good food and gain weight, the eye doctor I saw today might want to remove that eye if we cannot make it better. I really need a dental, too, but that must wait until my body condition is a little better. I'm being well taken care of by the Rescue Trust and I just know they are going to make my life much better and I am grateful. I hear there's a bunch of Rescue Angels here and I've also heard how you help the Rescue Trust help dogs like me. Thank you! From an old gal with lots of life to live and lots of love to give! Watch for my updates!
Love, Fiona. ❤️

Some may say I'm a Southern Belle and I say I'm a Southern Lily! I'm Lily in South Carolina and prefer to stay here as I like to have my tea on the porch year round. I'll share a secret with you about me.... I am very experienced in the art of Friendship! You see I'm a Senior and I've already gone through all that youngster prank behavior a long time ago!
I am a quiet 12 year old girl who likes to be close to my person but I allow them some space, too. My pawfect home needs no stairs or just a couple as I have arthritis and going up and down stairs is ruff. I do well with dogs and would love to keep you company if you're an empty nester! I am a very sweet girl, like sweet southern tea, at least that's what I hear from my foster mom. My ideal home would be where my people would pamper me and give me lots of attention. Even at my age, I do not sleep all day. I like to be by you or at least see where you are. I am a curious little girl and will just follow you and keep up with you as best I can. Occasionally while walking in the yard, I'll even run! Not bad for an old girl with arthritis! I have the beginnings of cataracts but I can still hear and see and am in decent health for a girl my age. I am microchipped and up to date on vaccinations for my age. I am in South Carolina and prefer to stay in the south.
Learn more here and apply for me if you want true friendship, I'll be looking at applications, maybe yours will get my paw of approval!

Hiya! My name is Adam and I was sprung from a shelter with Marsha recently. We think I'm about 7 years old. I was taken to a really nice vet who said I'm in good shape! I could have told her that! Wonderful Rescue Trust volunteers pulled me from the shelter, took me to the vet and when I was done there, took me home to give me a bath. They were so kind to me and I am forever grateful. I'm going to a foster home and will have a dental soon. I won't be available for adoption for several weeks, so be patient (good things are worth waiting for!) and watch for my updates on the website.

My name is Marsha and I was sprung from a shelter recently. We think I'm about 6 years old. I have to tell you, I was so glad to get out of that shelter! People were nice to me there, but, wow, the volunteers from the Rescue Trust who got me, are just amazing! I've been spayed and had all kinds of lab work done and am in pretty good shape according to the nice vet who took care of me. The people who pulled me out of the shelter gave me a nice bath and I feel so much better! I'm going to a foster home and will get a dental soon. I won't be ready for adoption for several weeks, so keep an eye out for my updates on the website.

We removed two posts today from someone alleging to be selling Cavalier puppies. It was a scam, so please, don't buy puppies from a link posted on our page in the comments. We will never allow that or endorse purchasing puppies from an unknown source.

If you are looking to purchase a puppy from a breeder, please do your homework. Good breeders rarely have puppies immediately available and often have waiting lists. Get to know the breeder and don't be scammed!

We understand that a rescue dog isn't for everyone and, in fact, we rarely have puppies available to adopt in rescue. We are the rescue arm of the AKC Parent Club for Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. Here's the link for breeder referral there: https://ackcsc.org/images/pdf/4.5.2020_Breeder_Referral.pdf

Our girl Meri is the sweetie who was pulled from a shelter and last month had the very large bladder stone removed. She is still fighting a really bad infection in her bladder wall. She's continuing antibiotics and will require another ultrasound to recheck everything. Meri will also have her blood work redone and a thyroid panel. She's a trooper and as you can see likes to lounge. We are not accepting applications for her at this time as we want her to get healed and healthy first. You can make a difference for Meri with a donation today directly to her care here, https://www.cavalierrescuetrust.org/dog/meridia-in-tx/ or on FB link below post through FB. Thank you for giving her a second chance!

My name is Sebastian and I'm new here! There's no debating I am a handsome guy even if I was purchased at a flea market originally. I'm currently with one of the Rescue Trust's wonderful vets who is fixing me up and making my coat nice with a bath today. Tomorrow, they say I'm going to be fixed and get my teeth all pretty. I've already seen the cardiologist and I'm on Pimobendan to help my heart. I get over the counter lubricating eye drops because my eyes are a little dry. They feel so much better now. I have Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency and when I arrived at the vet I only weighed about 10 1/2 pounds. I eat a special food with enzymes to help me absorb the food, so I'm gaining weight and it makes me feel much better. Wow, that seems like a lot for a guy that's only 5 1/2 years old! I hear I will go to a foster home in the near future and I'm really excited about that. I won't be ready for adoption for awhile and it's going to take a very special family to address all my medical needs, but I promise it will be worth it. Watch the website for my availability and I'll check in from time to time. Love, Sebastian in Texas

Meet Lily, a recent intake who is the sweetest senior girl. She goes for a much needed dental next week and has some arthritis, given her age of around 12 she's overall pretty healthy. She's not yet available as we learn more about her.
