In 2005, Lesley Gray decided to turn her passion and empathy for serving seniors and an understanding of the challenges that caregivers face in meeting the needs of their loved ones, into her life's work. That is how AnotherDaughter™ was born. OUR GOAL Our goal is very simple. It is to help you, the caregiver, by taking responsibility for the everyday details of your loved one’s life, so that you have less stress, fewer worries, more time, more energy and a greater peace of mind. OUR PHILOSOPHY AnotherDaughter™ realizes that caring for an aging or ailing parent or spouse is difficult, stressful and time-consuming work. It is made all the more difficult by the demands that adult children and caregivers have in their own personal and work lives. This burden is even more acute for children who live at a geographical distance from their parents. We adhere to the highest personal and professional ethical standards and business practices. Did you know many Home Care Workers and Independent/Assisted Living staff are not allowed to recieve tips or gifts from the residents they serve. This has been a particular difficult year for these workers having to juggle safety and necessity with the worry of protecting their families from harm they could be bringing home. Inquire if your community has a Holiday fund set up that you could contribute to, ask if your community has a food pantry or toy closet to assist their workers. If they don't maybe start this with your resident council to help those who have served us so willingly this difficult year. #givingtuesday2020 #youwillgetthroughthis
