Recidivism is a vicious cycle of crime, prison, more crime, re-imprisonment, and so on. More than two-thirds of released prisoners will be charged with new crimes within three years following their release, and over half will be re-incarcerated.
Mission: To provide housing, job training, substance abuse counseling. We are here to not just offer guidance by the way of employment and house, but also through spiritual counseling.

One of the first things that we as a "Village" need to do is to ensure that our young, black men get an education, since there is a strong link between failure in school and a life of crime and imprisonment.
FACT: The general population of North Carolina is 68.5% White, 21.5% Black, and 8.4% Latino. However, the state's prison population for DRUG-RELATED OFFENSES is 28.5% White, 53.2% Black, and 17.6% Latino. In 2009, approximately 57% of the people who received FELONY CONVICTIONS were AFRICAN AMERICAN. This is The New Jim Crow!!!
Every year, between 600,000 and 700,000 inmates return to their communities, lacking the job and educational skills needed to avoid repeatedly offending.
Hire an ex-offender and get a $2,400 tax credit . . . . $11,000 tax credit if the ex-offender is a Veteran.

Incorporated staffing agency in order to assist ex-offenders in obtaining employment so that the rate of recidivism is lowered.
EDUCATION is key! Gotta educate our young black boys so that they don't get caught up in the system! It is the responsibility of the parents and the churches to make this happen!
The best way to keep the prison population down is to encourage our youth to stay in school, further their education, and either get a job or start their own business. The day has come that we have to take responsibility for our children and the children in our community/neighborhoods! It truly takes a village to raise a child!!
Fundraising events will begin happening on August 1st. This is a major project and is much needed within our communities in order to help ex-offenders to not get caught up in the system again!
There are 70 prisons in North Carolina and approximately 45,000 inmates (both male & female). We all know that all prisoners are not BAD people . . . . they just made a lot of bad choices. We are here to help them get back on their feet in a spirit of love.
