It is with great sadness that we announce our beloved Jean Kennedy Smith passed away on 6/17/20. We are thankful for her contributions and her dedication to people with disabilities and the visual and performing arts. From her wikipedia page: Smith was the founder of Very Special Arts (VSA), an internationally recognized non-profit dedicated to creating a society where people with disabilities can engage with the arts. In 2011, she was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the highest civilian honor in the United States, by President Barack Obama for her work with VSA and with people with disabilities.

If you have a few minutes to do a survey for Virginia's Board for people with disabilities:

We need your input to help people with disabilities!

The Virginia Board for People with Disabilities (the Board) is developing its strategic priorities for the next five years. The Board has limited resources, so we need you to help identify the three most important issues that are affecting people with disabilities across Virginia.

The Board is the Commonwealth's Developmental Disabilities Council, established by the Developmental Disabilities and Bill of Rights Act. The Board engages in policy, grant, and training activities to help people with disabilities fully participate in the community.

Please plan to set aside up to 15 minutes to complete this survey by Tuesday, June 30. Your answers will be anonymous, so please feel free to answer honestly. Thank you for your assistance in helping people with disabilities!

Because of your generous donations we are able to keep contracts with the production team like Jay who teaches them drumming.

Arts for All is participating in Give Choose Day on May 5th - in fact early giving has already started! We partnered with Give Choose last winter, before Covid-19 interrupted preparation for "Seussical, Jr." and the DaVinci art programs. We are developing virtual programs to keep our artists engaged until we are able to meet in person again.

Your tax-deductible contribution is greatly appreciated.

Important Announcement VSA Magic at Work this Season: Your 2017-2018 Donations will be Matched! Thank you to all our sponsors who have responded to our 2017-2018 Season Sponsorship campaign, Make it a Golden Year with VSA, that was mailed out last month. Your donations directly support artists of all-abilities in inclusive programs such as theatre workshops, DaVinci Art Studio, and mainstage musicals, including the upcoming production of Willy Wonka (March 2018 at Franklin Park). We have just received word that an anonymous donor will match all funds donated to VSA Loudoun this season up to $10,000!! This means that your charitable giving goes twice as far and supports twice as many artists! Please consider supporting VSA Loudoun at this time by visiting www.vsaloudoun.org and donating on-line (the donation button is at the very bottom of the “Contribute” page). Thank you for bringing even more “magic” to our special artists and actors! Happiest of holidays to you and your family! VSA Loudoun is a 501c3 non-profit organization
