Happy Saint Patrick’s Day! These words seem extra fitting for the current atmosphere. Even while many of us are having our routines significantly changed or disrupted, we can still find ways to be the hands and feet of Christ. And His peace and comfort in our lives is not restricted in the slightest by location or mobility. We love you all!

Our office may have been empty today, but our hearts and minds are full as we reflect upon the work and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

We must continue that work by being champions for justice in our nation. We must speak up for the oppressed, work to elect leaders of strong character, and examine our own hearts and communities for strongholds of racism, prejudice, or injustice of any kind.

"I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed; we hold these truths to be self-evident that all men are created equal." This Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, let us remember these historic words he proclaimed in his fight to bring equality to all men.
Pro-life voices, like Alveda King and Christina Bennett, continue the legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr. as they work to ensure all people, born and pre-born, are seen with dignity and equality.

Merry Christmas! Wherever this Christmas season finds you, may today be a reminder of the hope that was kindled when Eternity collided into planet Earth and the baby Jesus was born in Bethlehem. The small child in the dark night; a gleam of light in the gloom of sin and despair.

We truly hope this holiday season has been joyful for you. But we know that for many people, it’s been full of challenges and heartache. And for most of us, it’s been a mixture of both. That’s okay. In fact, it’s exactly why we celebrate Christmas.

As the carol “O Holy Night” says, “Long lay the world in sin and error pining, ‘til He appeared, and the soul felt its worth.”

Jesus didn’t come because we had curated the perfect Christmas Facebook feed or completed every craft on Pinterest with a Hallmark-worthy harmony around the kitchen table. He came because the world—each one of us—needed a Savior. That’s a gift that brings life in the joy and in the dark. May we all experience the blessing of a relationship with Jesus—the one who entered this messy world over 2,000 years ago.

“And the angel said to them, “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in swaddling cloths and lying in a manger.” -Luke 2: 10-12 ESV

Merry Christmas from Generation Joshua!

(Where/how are you celebrating today?)🎄🎁❄️

Team Hugo representing in Manassas, VA! The younger volunteer here is Levi and this is his first campaign experience.

His favorite campaigning snack is Slim Jims and all the grandmothers that answer the door say that he’s adorable.

Over the weekend, he’s convinced multiple adults to vote for pro-life and pro-freedom values because they were inspired to see someone so young who knew what he was talking about and truly cared about the issues at stake.

Election Day is tomorrow, so we’re talking to as many voters as we can. But the impact of SATs lasts far beyond Election Day.

Levi has seen that his voice matters in the conversation and that sense of empowerment will have impact for years to come. Thanks to each of our amazing volunteers! #genjsats #GenJ #studentactionteam

Perspective | Elijah Cummings and I were political opponents. We were also good friends.

"Members of Congress don’t always give advice to (or take advice from) one another. Most don’t have the kind of relationship where you can, but we did."
- Trey Gowdey

This article honoring the life of Rep. Elijah Cummings is a fascinating glimpse into a unlikely friendship. And it should inspire all of us to invest in friendships with people who believe differently than we do. We don't have to agree. We should talk about the hard topics. But we can disagree and have hard conversations with grace and goodwill. And truly be friends.

Have you ever had a friendship like Trey Gowdy and Representative Elijah E. Cummings? https://www.washingtonpost.com/outlook/2019/10/18/elijah-cummings-i-were-political-opponents-we-were-also-good-friends/?

We always tried to understand why each of us believed what we believed.

Apostolate 2020/2030. The Secular Order of St. Michael the Archangel, hereby makes public to the Holy Roman Catholic Church and other non-Catholic oriented brothers, its Apostolate for the Year 2020: the Year of Divine Justice, to last for 10 (ten) years. We fraternally invite the whole Church to commune and adhere to the voice of the psalmist of our Apostolate, by adding to their private and community prayers the Prayer for Divine Justice, which is distributed between the People of God and the Magisterium of the Church, before the Power of the Keys that every ordained Servant of Our Lord possesses, or he to whom the Holy Church grants such mystical and temporal powers, as well as the alteration in the jaculatory and prayers the word "mercy/mercifulness" for "righteousness/justice", as convenient. https://www.facebook.com/permalink.php?story_fbid=939157589837995&id=402120843541675&__tn__=K-R
Generation Joshua Paducah’s trip to our Capital, Frankfort, Kentucky, was a huge success! 2020 was definitely one for the books: Capitol tour, committee hearing visit with the LRC and Public Relations directors, paging in the House, photo op with our Representatives, paging in the Senate, meeting with Sen. Carroll, tour with the Capitol Chaplain, Buddy’s Pizza, and Capital City Museum. It is a pleasure and an honor to work with these educated students, who will be our future leaders, and their parents!
Thank You Loving Father, For the Light You Give We are reading in Ephesians Chapter 1, and learning of how Paul was a man who prayed, and in Verse 18 we read of Paul praying for an enlightened heart. We need to pray at times that God will give us LIGHT - light from the inside - inside information - so that I can say, "I see". "I see what is happening - I see what is going on in the world - I see why people said that - I see why that is being taught - I see why that decision has been made". Getting to know GOD better comes from the inside too. Then you will understand the HOPE to which you were called - and - something further as to where everything is heading. That will necessarily involve an increasing knowledge of the Scriptures – and that will necessarily involve time for reading and study. Remember - God never leaves a job half done. If HE starts a work in my life - if HE struggles with the material we have to offer HIM - He is going to continue HIS part. Let the eyes of your heart see that clearly. And also see how RICH you are - and be aware of the power which is available to us. Verse 19 - Paul is NOT exaggerating here – as he refers to the power of God - he means it. There is this tremendous amazing greatness of the Power of God available to those who believe. How great is God's Power - how big is God's Power - how mighty is God's Power - sufficient to raise Jesus Christ from the grave to highest heaven - from the cemetery to the throne! It began among the dead - but Jesus, the crucified One was raised. This is where the new creation begins - by the dead being raised - and then up through the clouds to His Rightful Place at the Right Hand of the Father. Everybody, but God the Father, has to look up to Jesus now! There was a day when they looked down on Jesus - but not now - no longer. Our eyesight cannot go high enough. He has been exalted - the Head of all things - and Paul thinks of His Feet - above all His enemies – Verse 22. Where is His body? You are His body - under the headship of Jesus Christ - but on top of His enemies. That makes the Church of Jesus Christ more than conquerors. He has been made Head for the Church of Jesus Christ - and you, as part of the Church of Jesus Christ, complete the Body of Christ! (We have to keep using that phrase ‘The Church of Jesus Christ’ because there are so many religious activities around which have little to do with The Church of Jesus Christ.) Consider that - and just in case we become too big for our boots Paul goes on to say that He completes us. He is the Head of the Church - and it is only the Church over which He is Head. In homes and families, He appoints people – husbands – fathers. That may be a difficult concept for some today – but even in Paul’s day there were difficult concepts being preached and taught and mysteries revealed. The word for Church is EKKLESIA - the called out ones - an assembly of people called together. Paul is saying to those believe - have a big view of God - and a realistic view of yourself. "I am part of God's plans" - so we should not be too surprised when the enemy seeks to annihilate us, or murder us. God gives us a high calling - seek to be what God wants you to be - and to fulfil your role. To do this we need the spirit of wisdom and revelation - and knowledge of HIM. He wanted me to be His child. We are gifts from God - and gifts to God - that is why we wish to exalt HIM and magnify HIM - and think about HIM in a big way. Be His child – His gift to the world. Be a loyal and loving servant – a light in dark places as you shine for Christ Jesus. “Thank You loving Father, that You have called me in Christ – that you have adopted me into Your family – that You have made me Your child – a child of God – with work to do in this needy world. Feed me. Teach me. Guide me. Lead me. Enable me to remain loyal and loving and faithful to you all my days in this world – through Jesus Christ. Amen” (This week's "Word from Scotland" - previous articles may be found at Studylight.org and liveasif.org in the 'Archives' section - warmest greetings in Christ Jesus.)

All republicans need to ask themselves what they really believe in? Are you a bigot or racist? Do you support white supremacy, the Alt-right, radical conservatives, Nazi's or the KKK? The President and his inner circle are all of these. Trump and his hard line radicals have declared war on the Republican Party and are trashing our democracy. The GOP is now Trumps Party. They attack the Media, rule of law and anyone that disagrees with them. They repeat lies over and over until the public accepts them as the truth. Trump has a history of switching his political party affiliation: According to ABC, he registered as a Republican in the late 1980s before becoming a Democrat in 2001. He switched back to the GOP in 2009. When asked why he switched his reply was, “The republicans watch all the lies on Fox News, so I can lie all I want. The leaders of the House and Senate support tax & healthcare bills that favors the rich and does little or nothing for the middle class. It may take years to restore all the damage they are doing. Millions of people's lives are at risk with this lying sociopath in the white house. Its time to vote the House and Senate Republicans out office. Morality, common decency and truthful values are eroding away. " PEOPLE OF THIS GREAT COUNTRY WAKEUP
