Good morning, a thought from my devotional readings this morning, "Jeremiah 10:23 says, “I know, O LORD, that a man’s life is not his own; it is not for man to direct his steps.” Jeremiah recognized that the way of fulfillment for us is never in ourselves. It comes from beyond. I believe that if he were here today, he would say two things to us.

First, he would say that we should know whose authority we live under. In Luke 7 the centurion whose servant was sick said to Jesus, “I myself am a man under authority.” We all are. We may be under the authority of self, but that is the way of death. This is way God gave us His Word: so we can know how to let God be saving within our lives. A daily perusal of its message will enable us to see and follow thw path of light that means freedom and righteousness.

I think Jeremiah would also say that we must know where the power we need comes from. We must recognize that it does not come from you. It comes from beyond. In Zechariah 4, he recognized this when he spoke these words, “Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the LORD Almighty.”

The resources that we need to reach the goals God has for us are not in ourselves. They are in the One who was the key to the life of Jesus, the Holy Spirit. That is why we need to be sensitive to the Spirit, who can lead, enlighten, cleanse, and fulfill our very being."

Hello everyone
Here are some good thoughts for us today as we look toward Holy week and Easter. These words come from my devotional reading from Dennis Kinlaw. “The God we worship is a God who has emotions. HE is love, and He has chosen to pour out His love on us. When Adam and Eve turned from Him, He looked for a people to love Him and among whom He could dwell. He desires to be near the ones He loves just as human beings enjoy proximity to their beloved ones. God found a man named Abraham who was willing to love Him and walk with Him. Out of Abraham’s descendants God established a nation of chosen people. That nation built a house for God in their midst, and God Himself can and dwelt with them in all of His glory. He became the center of their existence.

God wants to be the middle of our live too, the point of reference for everything in our existence. This is the reason HE names Himself Immanuel, which means “God is with us.” Can there be a more amazing reality than Immanuel? God wants to be part of our daily lives, closer to us than anyone else in the world. If we ever truly understood His desire for us in the light of His greatness and our insignificance, we would be on our knees in awe and thanksgiving. Don’t let anyone ever tell you that God is not love!” Please remember, you are loved. Be #blessed and #rockinawesome today!
