East County Boys and Girls Club Over the years, the Pittsburg community has seen remarkable change in the East County Boys & Girls Club. One thing, however, has remained the same, young people need a safe environment where they can play, learn, and grow.

They need to know that someone is always there to care and listen. The East County Boys & Girls Club has been meeting these needs since 1947, when the very first club opened its doors on West Eighth between Montezuma & West Streets.
