Well, we have the post set for the new building... Rain stopped us today... if all goes well, the next few weekends, we should have it done and ready for use yet this fall... hope to remember to take some pictures next time too, as the colors are beginning to creep into the trees...

We at Camp Josh have some work we need to get done....and we would like to show you, our friends and supporters, just what Camp Josh is about... We are asking for volunteer helpers this Labor Day weekend... We hope to raise a small pole building for storage and a fly roof attached to it so we can hold our cook-outs under a roof rather than in tents... we need put fencing up along the pond, to keep our guest from entering the pond, as well as keeping the otter from enjoying all the fish... also workers will be needed in the cabin, and around the grounds, cutting fire wood and clearing for trails... If you have a few free hours, please let us know, we would enjoy meeting you and sharing our dream with you... Any hours you could spare to help would be much appreciated, from 10 am until 5 pm, Saturday thru Monday... A sandwich lunch, water and sodas will be served...Thanks !

We are very proud to announce that as of right now, we have had over 200 guests enjoy the Camp this year, we are not done yet! In December, we have a request from the local school district, that they would like to bring the special need students out for a visit, to look for animal tracks and perhaps try some snow-shoeing if the weather cooperates with some snow, (Last winter, the area received 285 inches of snow... just a bit to much for me...) We are looking forward to next year, with more activity's planned and more outings being requested.
In 2016 we hope to complete our new outdoor classroom, some hiking trails and to complete the safety barrier fence along the pond so more individuals can fish, in addition we will be able to put the finishing touches on our new shooting range.
All of these dreams are being made reality's by countless volunteer hours and by funds raised from our annual spring banquet and our private donations that are given to Camp Josh. April, 2016 will be our third banquet, being held at the Konteka Black Bear Resort in White Pine. Door prizes, gun drawings and the ever popular 'Early Bird' ticket drawing, along with mouth-watering food makes for a very fun evening while supporting a great cause...
In just a few short years, we have given the Camp new life and it is now, a thriving part of the local community again. I personally would like to extend a sincere thank you... to each and every person who have helped us, with either time or donation. With out dedicated volunteers, we would have not gotten as far as we have... Thank You !
