Calling all oyster lovers!! Now, available are the North Carolina Green Gill oysters!!! For those of you who do not have knowledge of the green gill oyster …. let me tell you what they are.

Historically, the green gill oyster was primarily sold, produced in western France. The Green Gill oyster is the luxury line of oyster. They have been eaten and enjoyed in Asia & Europe for centuries.

They grow in a very small window (December thru April). The haslea diatom (a water-soluble blue pigment) gives this unique oyster its emerald color and distinct flavor.

Well, France is not the only location for the green gill oyster.

The green gill oyster is native to North Carolina waters. For those, who love luxury – this is the oyster for you. North Carolina Green Gills are a very salty oyster, with a smooth finish. The intense taste coats the mouth with unique and pleasurable flavor.

If anyone is interested in trying these beauties. Contact NCOyster365 (www.ncoyster365.com).

The NC Green Gill oysters do not disappoint!

Due to the continued consequences of Hurricane Florence, Pints for Purpose will not be hosting the annual Crystal Coast Oyster Festival this year. Florence has had a devastating impact on Eastern North Carolina, and our local oyster farms suffered significant damages and loss of their oyster stocks.

The Festival aims to promote awareness and raise funds to support local growers, and given the devastation from Flo, we feel that the best way to support the this year is to allow them time to rebuild and recover. We fully intend to host a 2019 event, and bring back delicious NC farmed oysters to the Morehead Waterfront.

Williston — It’s probably safe to say that relatively few women – or men – would start an oyster seed nursery at age 65. It’s probably even safer to say that few if any women or men who deign to take on that task and degree of risk would buy a big, decrepit cinder block building, renovate ...

John W. Vogler III I’m in.
Hello I am a Canadian coming down to this area September of this year and would like to know the best Oyster Bar in your area. Could you please be of assistance
What a beautiful day for this event! Had a really good time. Sammy was working those oysters!! Band of Oz was GREAT as usual.
So its $10 each, not $5 as advertised. Charge is the same for kids that have nothing to do here. 30 minute wait for food and nowhere to sit to eat it, unless you pay $35 ea for VIP section. There for 2 hours and still mo live music. Save your time and $ go to a restaurant.
Where exactly is the location for the oyster roast taking place?
Are you having a oyster festival this year?
Could you please put this out there as an event so it can be added to calendars. Thank you!
