Missionary At Heart

Missionary At Heart OUR MISSION is to share the Love of God. Through spiritual, physical, economic and social development. A holistic approach to finding freedom to live life to the fullest. Helping children and their communities to be ALL God created them to be.
A missionary heart is one who: Cares more than seems wise, risks more than seems safe, dreams more than seems practical, and expects more than seems possible.

“Because we know that the one who raised the Lord Jesus will raise us also with Jesus . . . we do not lose heart. Even though our outer nature is wasting away, our inner nature is being renewed day by day. For this slight momentary affliction is preparing us for an eternal weight of glory beyond all measure, because we look not at what can be seen but at what cannot be seen; for what can be seen is temporary, but what cannot be seen is eternal.” (2 Cor. 4:14, 16–18, NRSV)

HELP DURING THE PANDEMIC!

COVID-19 has many of us panicking, and some of us wondering what we can do to actually make a difference and help the less privileged. This outbreak has had a significant impact on the most vulnerable populations, including pregnant women, the elderly and children.

.
Helping people get food and medical help during the Coronavirus Pandemic in Uganda is one way to help. Your taxable gift will help provide food for families in need during these difficult times and pregnant women about to give birth who lack transportation and medical attention as they are in lock down and without a job.

.
If you want to help ensure food and medical help are delivered to those who need it most, please donate to our UGANDA COVID-19 RELIEF FUND and help us save lives. Even $1 will make a difference. Together, we can help one, two, or ten more families in need.

.
Your donation is greatly appreciated and we hope and pray you are safe and staying home to help reduce the spread.

"He will rescue you from every hidden trap of the enemy, and he will protect you from false accusations and any deadly curse. His massive arms are wrapped around you, protecting you. You can run under his covering of majesty and hide. His arms of faithfulness are a shield keeping you from harm" (Ps. 91:3-4).

A marathon to get more of God.

“When we know we are but dust, when our hearts have been crushed — is exactly when we are meant to entrust all into the hands of the Potter, so He can remake all to be more like Christ.”

Giving up something for the love of Jesus —isn’t really giving up anything when He gave up everything for the ones He loves.

Thank you to all that came out to our Sister to Sister Sewing Bee celebration luncheon today. We are grateful for your support making the reusable menstrual pads, for the supplies and monetary donations and for coming back today to hear our praise report and how you can continue to be a part of this ongoing initiative. Because the vision has only began unfolding and more is yet to come.

It was good to see some of you and encouraging to hear how empowering this all was for you as well as for the hundred of women and girls in Uganda. And a big shout out to all our brothers here in the US and in Uganda that took part of this project as well. Great work everyone! ❤️

Hello RevWell friends!! It’s great to be back from Uganda. And we can’t wait to see you all tonight. And hug you🤗

Here is a video to get you motivated🤸🏻‍♀️ We are at a new church that meets on a slump village! Their energy and love for Christ was so encouraging and filled our hearts for this community. As you can see, while some of our team members were leading the adults, others of us were in the back keeping the children moving! What a fun day that was!

We hope to see you in class tonight!

We were guest speakers at the Victoria 92.5 FM radio station in Uganda! It was a unique experience and a great opportunity to share about the work God is doing thru our ministry, projects and initiatives. But most importantly to reach a wider audience to talk about the love and the gospel of Jesus Christ. Because “The time has come, and the kingdom of God is near.” And everyone must hear the Good News!

So much has been going on this week. And we are coming to the end of our two weeks journey here in Uganda.

Those of you that have done missions know about the mixed feelings towards the end. How hard it is to leave, but how much we also look forward to go home to our families. I, Joanie miss my grandbabies so much. And some of our missionaries also left their children and miss them as well. Although our hearts will remain with our friends here too!❤️

Today, we had the children’s ministry from 10am to 2:30pm and Revelation Wellness back to back at 3:30-5:30pm. The ladies loved it so much that we had to do a few more songs after we had already stretched and ended our meditation. Some of them got to lead some of the songs and one did the second stretch. So awesome to see them dancing with so much freedom and joy! Worshipping with movement.

Some videos will follow this post so you can see their joy.

Yesterday, we got to visit a slum community in the city of Kampala, capital of Uganda.

We talked to the Chairman of the community to try to understand better the situation of the women and children there and see how we can possibly join their efforts to improve their lives.

One of the main-need is clean water. And secondly, education.

The women will work up to a 10hr work shift and only get pay less than 1 dollar. They need support in finding ways to learning a trait and get empowered to believe they are strong and gifted to walk forward to change. And to know that God doesn’t love them any more or any less than everyone else because He is also their Father and they are His beautiful creation! He wants the best for them.

The children there were also so precious❤️
