Dinner at Catherine Palace tonight!

Miyuki Nagashima created the six-piece table settings to replicate the Sèvres Green Ware that the imperial family would have dined upon in the Green Dining Room. The 18th century menu may have included caviar, quail with truffles, pheasant, lamb and tortoise meat, along with Catherine the Great's preferred beverage, imperial stout.

I can honestly say miniaturist John Hodgson is the artisan who had the greatest influence on my early collecting. He is now retiring after 40 years, but his wife and daughters will be carrying on the business under his watchful eye. Please welcome them to Facebook and check out their new website at johnjhodgson.com

Fun Fact Friday!

The wallcovering in the dining parlour of Savage Manor is actually embossed leather that was painted and gold gilded.

Created by Andrew Bembridge and elaborated upon by Mulvany and Rogers, they were inspired by priceless leather hangings which once hung in Dyrham Park, a 17th-century English manor now owned by The National Trust.

Hello All,

This will come as a surprise to those that know me but after 43 years making Fine Scale Miniatures I have finally created a website. It focuses on showing my work and how I make these tiny objects.

I'm new to all this social media so please forgive any errors.

Enjoy, Bill

Thank you, I love your site.
Thank you for inviting me to your lovely page! ❤️
How do I put a picture in my post?
Enjoy your site so much. My husband built me (not from a kit) a 1950s' ranch house.
The Miniature World is amazing. The Art of it is exceptional. To view these rooms it's hard to believe they are not full scale, but one inch to the foot.
Thank you!
Thank you for the invitation to follow your beautiful site!
