The Other Osteen

The Other Osteen

Pastors: this isn’t a post to challenge or condemn anyone’s faith. I just left from doing a funeral (graveside) for someone I have never met. The family reached out and asked if I would. Here’s what is gripping my heart during this Covid-19 virus: people still need help, they still need love, they still need ministry! So yes we social distance and yes we do our best to follow guidelines, but that doesn’t mean that personal ministry away from online should cease. Somethings Facebook live or livestream can not accomplish....just saying!

03/26/2020

Please remember we have moved to our new building and are no longer at the Compassion of God building. Across from CIRCLE K and we are not affiliated with the compassionate outreach there...so we do not have access to the donations you left for us. We appreciate the blessing of the food and containers to feed the children and seniors you left there for us and we pray they go to those in need during these times. Please know you can call us to arrange donations during this time of need. 337-485-8458...Stay Healthy..STAY BLESSED

03/26/2020

Although we are not open during this time of health crisis we are accepting donations.. we will be glad to pick up..we ensure that all donations are a BLESSING GIVEN by the community for a BLESSING OF A HAND UP to those in the community.. CALL US AT 337-485-8458 to schedule your donation.

Please read this carefully there is a huge difference in a state of emergency versus a state of disaster we are in no way shape or form in a state of disaster We are following the lead about our elected officials from the president to the state Governor to our local elected officials during this time of the Coronavirus we tried to provide accurate information and only accurate information that has been verified as we receive it we do not feed into panic we try to help to avoid panic so when it comes to food stamps if you feel that you qualify for food stamps and meet the criteria by all means apply. if you are interested or feel that you qualify for emergency food stamps due to temporary state of emergency you may apply and you will be automatically be put in queue to get those benefits after 30 days of the state of emergency and Governor Edwards signs it into effect so yes you may apply now ....if you are already on food stamps at the end of 30 days when Governor Edwards signs you will automatically get them posted to your current account. So you need to take no action.. if you need help with applying for food stamps on a regular basis or an emergency basis ..I am available from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. in Leesville at the veterans place on South 5th Street Tuesday through Friday this week..
