Monday the Central Louisiana Veterans Cemetery will be having a committal service for SSG Mikol Allen Smith, retired Army. No known Family in the Area.
Mikol “Smitty” Smith, 77, of Rosepine, LA, passed from this life on Sunday, February 16, 2020.

Mikol was a retired veteran of the United States Army where he served his country as a cook during the Vietnam War and beyond. He was a proud long-time resident of Rosepine, LA and he was a diehard Rosepine Eagles fan and whole heartedly supported the coaches of the athletic program. He considered his friends to be his family; he dearly loved Vincent, Eddie and the Fuller Family, Frank and Tiara Greene, the McKee Family and Dennis Parrott. Smitty especially loved the Lord, he would often write Christian poetry that God would lay on his heart and was happy to have found a church home in Mercy Bible Church in Rosepine.
His friends would like to give special thanks to those who cared for Mikol at Byrd Regional Hospital, Leesville Rehabilitation Hospital, and Rosepine Rehab and Retirement.
Graveside service followed by interment will be at 2:00 PM, Monday, February 24, 2020, at Central Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Leesville, LA. Pastor James Byrd will officiate the service.

***PLEASE NOTE THAT IF YOU PLAN TO ATTEND THAT WE DO HAVE ANOTHER SERVICE AT 1:00pm RIGHT BEFORE THIS SERVICE. PLEASE BE COUTEOUS TO THAT FAMILY. THANKS***
