Good Morning it’s time to
Rise & Shine.
Today marks 20 years of remembering 9/11/2001. Not only did we lose 2977 people that day, we continue to lose more because of the 9/11 related illnesses. Please remember those lost in your thoughts and prayers today. Please be kind to one another for tomorrow is never promised. God bless those souls lost and those that were left to carry on.
On a happy note: Happy Birthday President & Co- Founder Eric Sjurseth, Enjoy your day

PRAYERS that all are okay. And a big thank you for the reception we received yesterday with this coming and you.

As the primary water rescue resource within the surrounding area Hightstown’s Special Operations Water unit was busy this morning. In total the the department was dispatched to 10 incidents a majority of which were water rescues. All told, members of the team rescued 8 civilians who were either trapped in their vehicles or relocated to the roof of their vehicles due to flood waters. At times flood waters were at shoulder height and required firefighters to operate Marine 41’s engine in the street as pictured.

The entirely volunteer team that responded this morning consisted of four certified swift water operators/technicians, two boat operator specialists, Captain Brink and Deputy Chief Donald Derr. The convoy consisted of Rescue 41, Deputy 41’s buggy, with Marine 41 in tow.

With more rain expected throughout the day we urge folks to avoid driving into any flooded areas. Please be safe and dial 911 if you need us, we will be ready.

The 3rd weekend of August the America's 911 Foundation Inc. motorcycle ride visits all 3 crash sights. 200 motorcycles to 2000 motorcycles, es**rting officers and volunteers.(me) I change my profile picture to show I remember 9/11/2001. Thank you to the 911 Foundation for this honorable plaque. It's always a pleasure to host America's 911 Foundation Motorcycle Ride every year. We take pride in supporting our first responders and their families. We look forward to another great ride next year! God Bless! America's 911 Foundation Inc.
Last night, Butch Budai of America's 911 Foundation Inc. organized the annual ride to honor the lives lost in the terrorist attacks on 9/11/01. First stop was on the waterfront in Bayonne, New Jersey, where the city held its annual interfaith memorial service and candlelight vigil at the Tear Drop Memorial. Adjacent to the sculpture is a piece of steel from the World Trade Center. The final stop was at the Empty Sky Memorial at Liberty State Park in Jersey City. From both locations we could see across the Hudson to New York City where the Tribute in Light, a double vertical column of light signifying Towers 1 and 2, shone purple against the night sky. Thanks to Teresa Magyar for the striking photos she shot on this somber occasion.
9/11. A day where most of us can remember exactly where we were when the news came of the first plane hitting the towers. Remembrance of the day and the people that lost their lives, including the first responders that never hesitated to run toward the danger is part of what America's 911 Foundation Inc. is about. Team member Victoria, is an Executive Board Member of the foundation and last night at our meeting presented a check and donations from America’s 911 Foundation to our Chief, Mark Sallada. This gift will be used to support our community. For those grieving........we support you, America supports you. #neverforget #america #freedomisntfree

In case you missed it, here's our Fox News segment on America's 911 Foundation Inc. from Sunday featuring our officers along with Albemarle County Police Department and Louisa County Sheriff's Office
