They also love and share the same amount of passion that you do as well for your skill. You all make a connection fairly quickly because you share this similarity that breaks any language barriers and international relations. It just goes to show you the power that skills hold." - Daylan Torres, Baking competitor

The competition definitely challenged my mental and physical abilities, but no matter what, I had to just keep pushing through. "The WorldSkills experience prepared me for the “real” world, or professional world very well. I have had a lot more than just the “dedicated training” that has gone into my career, including contacts made all across the US, and world. I have also learned a great deal about communication, as well as a whole new side of my industry, as I was working on heavy duty on-highway diesel, and switched to off highway, dirt equipment." - Ryan Meppelink, Heavy Vehicle Maintenance competitor

"One of the best parts about being a competitor and representing the USA at the WorldSkills competition was being able to meet people from all across the globe. I was able to meet people that were just as passionate about things that I was, and connected to people that besides WorldSkills, I’d never have the opportunity to. The entire experience was unforgettable, and I couldn’t be more thankful for it." - Anthony Moore, Graphic Design Technology Competitor
