Crossed Sabres Art & Lit Magazine The magzine is published :) copies will be sold Friday, June 3 in the foyer before school. Stop by and support the magazine!
Loudoun County High School's art and literature magazine is a collaboration of student created art, photography, poetry, short stories, essays, etc. The magazine's staff consists of LCHS students, and XS is advised by Ms. Rader. Editor-in-Chief: Alice Carpenter Assistant Editor: Kate Ford Art Director: Emily Nastase Creative Director: Katie McKew The purpose of Crossed Sabres is to provide the students of Loudoun County High School the opportunity to exhibit to the community the high quality of their ORIGINAL creative work. The yearly magazine will showcase the best in ORIGINAL literature, poetry, nonfiction, artwork, and photography. Any student currently enrolled at Loudoun County High School is entitled to submit work for publication, although all work must be appropriate for a publication.


Won FIRST in the VHSL competition! Awesome job 2010-2011 staff; how about a repeat this year...


the reception was a hit! Thanks to all who came out. If you were published in the magazine, make sure you get your FREE copy from Ms. Rader in room 201. ALSO: magazines will be sold tomorrow morning (Friday, June 3) in the foyer for $5.00 each. Stop by and support the magazine!


There will be a reception after school on Thurs, June 2 in the school's library at 4:00. If your work was published, you get a free copy, and mags will be sold for $5 each. Edible goodies will be provided. Swing by to get your copy or stay until the librarians kick us out. It's open to everyone. Awards will be given out, and the Editor Alice Carpenter will make a speech. RSVP yes or no by June 1st.


XS has been officially submitted to the publishers, and the countdown begins...


the staff is formatting Crossed Sabres 2010-2011. Expect magazines to be sold in early June.


thanks all the late bloomers who decided to turn their submissions in after the deadline. Unfortunately, XS will not be accepting submissions after Friday, March 11, so all the really late bloomers better get their stuff together asap.


Do you have a submission, but miss the deadline? Well, you're in luck; THERE IS STILL TIME TO SUBMIT!! Just turn in your submissions sometime in the next week, and we will accept it with smiles on our faces... or something like that.


There are only four weeks left to submit your art, photography, literature, and poetry. Do you have something that you consider art? Submit it! We don't care whether or not it falls in our categories; just do it. For any questions, see Ms. Rader in room 201 or one of the editors :)

Guidelines: Max 5 pages in size 12 font, and it must be school appropriate. (Oblas reads everything in the magazine.) Also, attach a cover page with your first and last name and raider rally room number.
