The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) will hold the 9th Child Safety Day in partnership with the Leesburg Police Department October 2, 2021, at the Village at Leesburg.
This free event will be held from noon to 4 p.m. and will feature emergency vehicles and displays from the LCSO, the Leesburg Police Department, the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), the Loudoun County Commonwealth's Attorney's Office, Loudoun County Child Advocacy Center, Loudoun Abused Women's Shelter (LAWS)/Loudoun Citizens for Social Justice, Loudoun Child Protective Services, Loudoun County Fire and Rescue, FBI – Federal Bureau of Investigation, Inova Loudoun Hospital Pediatrics, the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, The Ryan Bartel Foundation and the Loudoun - Dulles Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 69.
Many of the displays at Child Safety Day will provide information to parents on how they can protect their child from becoming a victim of a crime.
This year the LCSO will again invite Loudoun youth to “lend a hand in fighting crime” by dipping their hands in non-toxic, washable paint and placing their handprints on a sheriff’s office patrol car.
The event will also include live entertainment and games.
The Village at Leesburg is located at 1602 Village Market Boulevard, SE, in Leesburg, VA.
