When 4 high school best friends promise to be in each others weddings on their Senior Prom night, what will happen?

Libby Ruth (Madge Montgomery), the hopeful romantic with the perfect marriage, believes—in spite of all evidence to the contrary—that her friends can find the very same happiness she's found in marriage.

Headstrong Deedra's (Renee Malis) “rock-solid” union hangs by a thread when she discovers her husband of many years not only has a wandering eye, but the hands to match.

Monette (Karen Glover), flashy, high-spirited, and self-involved but also a really great friend, continues to test her friends’ love and patience with all-too-frequent trips down the aisle. '

And salt-of-the-earth, tree-hugging Charlie (Samantha Bolte-Woods) discovers marital bliss might not be in her cards.

In walks, Sedalia (Munam Goodwyn), who runs the wedding venue and is strong-willed, and Kari (Joanne Neiderhoff), Libby Ruth's daughter, who try to help keep everything together and sometimes with force (or an axe 😱).

Hop on this marriage-go-round for a laugh-out-loud journey with these bridesmaids as they ask themselves which is more important: friendship or love?

Who will make it down the aisle?

Will their friendships and marriages last?

Find out in Always A Bridesmaid, opening October 9 and running through October 23. Grab your tickets now: https://www.showtix4u.com/event-details/56288

Our Story

Theater Company of Lafayette was established in 1996 (as Lafayette Community Players) to produce high quality theater productions and to broaden public appreciation and understanding of live theater.

It is the formal policy of TCL to foster an atmosphere of tolerance, and we therefore encourage participation from all walks of life. This means that we DO NOT discriminate on the basis of race, color, creed, national or ethnic origin, religion, age, gender, sexual orientation, or physical or mental disability.

There are many people who have been involved with TCL over the years. Men and women, children and seniors, and people with a wide range of skills and abilities have all given their time and energy to make TCL a success. Without the help of our dedicated community, we simply could not exist.

ISO 2 tickets for tonight Hair 6/17 @ 7:30pm. Let me know if anyone has any to part with. :)
I have seen three productions of "Hair" - the nation tour of the revival plus two local one. This show proves that bigger is not always bigger. The tour could not fill the Buell with the vibe of the era and fell flat on its face. This needs to play in small venues such as this one to come alive. Instead of the body perfect dancers of the tour, this show needs the grit that comes from the diversity of body types as they come together in celebration of a long gone era. Each of the performers was solid and outshone those in the tour in bringing their characters to life - the joy, the struggle, and even the pain. When asked "Hugs or drugs" by a tribe member, take the hugs. You can get the drugs on your own time. And you will need the hug after the how. I know I did. This may have been our first show with this company but it won't be our last!
