Puppy mills are large-scale breeding operations that sell pets through stores, the internet and puppy swap meets. Profit is often more important than animal welfare. Sellers charge big bucks for puppies but the highest price is the cost of suffering endured by parents of these animals.

Hawaii County Police Department is holding their community meeting on February 18th, from 12 PM to 2 PM at their police station conference room in Kailua Kona.

If you have pets that you can no longer care for, please drop them off at your nearest shelter. There are no fees involved, just a form to complete. Leaving them to fend for themselves is grounds for animal cruelty and abandonment charges.
