Three Ring Ranch Exotic Animal Sanctuary

Here is something fun to read and share. Enjoy!

As something fun to do during the pandemic, we've compiled a
list of the names for all the different "groups" of animals. See how many you know!!

This should be the most complete list on the web. I did not list each from a group all with the same common name. Example Each type of hoofed animal know as a herd or each type of avian species known as flock. That would take a hundred pages :)

Add any unusual ones that you know which we may have missed in the comments so I can verify then add on. Mahalo

Pet food drive for furloughed workers day 3. Marilyn, Sylvia & Chuck, Brigitte, Sharon, Marian, Colleen- You all have hearts of gold. Another truck load of food will be purchased in the next couple hours. This will all go to the HIHS for distribution starting Friday. Linda Bicknell (3RR BOD President) has been a shopping wiz. The shelves at Walmart stripped of the BIG bags of dog food. More today. Note that our ranch dogs are very happy with this project and the truck yesterday afternoon.
To give is easy donate online and please note "pet food drive" in the comments. https://store.threeringranch.org/collections/monetary-donations

Big need in Kona! Calling all animal people. Many furloughed employees are going to be catching up on vital bills such as house payments/rent as they get some back pay but they are struggling to buy pet food. PLEASE lets not see anyone have to give up their best friend for lack of pet food. This is an emergency drive and call for help. I will pick up donations of dog and cat food and deliver to those in need.

“It seems like yesterday, but it is now 2 years since Cliff left this world.
He truly “Walk the Talk” giving voice to those who do not have a voice. The Dr. did a lot of wonderful things for folks who could not do for themselves. Many were abused women and veterans. But, it was really the women and children that he took to heart.
Cliff will be forever remembered for the many walks around Hawaii island raising awareness of the estimated 1,800 unsheltered homeless that continue to be ignored, and in many cases unidentified and uncounted.
Many of Cliff’s closest friends and colleagues continue to miss him.
Forever in our hearts. We miss you!”

Aloha, Fellow RCKS members. I wanted to announce that my daughter Kaycie Wood will be inducted into Rotary on July 11th. I am very excited to have another Rotarian in the family.
Happy, Happy Birthday to Bev! Past President of Kona Sunrise and member extraordinaire!
How to start a community based Rotaract Club!
Can't believe that it has been nine years since we officially became a club! PP Dennis Rast was our first visitor, before the club became chartered, back in the days when we met at Tante Urban Sr. restaurant, Tante's. Next year will be a big celebration when we make 10 years!
This will definitely be a meeting not to miss!
Kona Sunrise rocks. These are our members and spouses at Habitat's Blitz Build 2017. We were there! The little club that does!
Past President's Mike and Bev. Always ready to work for Rotary.
Our members showed up at Habitat's Blitz Build 2017. We provided the stuff that makes a hamburger good, tomato, onion, mustard etc. What a wonderful Habitat project. West Hawaii clubs helped make it happen.
I love this club and all of people in it. Looking forward to seeing you soon.
