LETTUCE MUNCH - ANNUAL WELLNESS LUNCHEON
On Thursday, November 18th Lettuce Munch held the annual fall harvest celebration and wellness luncheon on the private patio-balcony of Maggiano’s Little Italy in Tyson’s Galleria, overlooking retail shops of DC’s renowned luxury mall.
An experienced cosmetic dermatology professional will joined us as our keynote speaker, focusing on wellness, “self-care”, and the latest in aesthetic trends. Following lunch guests kicked off their holiday shopping season at the Galleria Mall, which featured “retail therapy”, spa activities, and special discounts just for LM guests. It was a great time for our members to pamper themselves before the holidays!

LETTUCE MUNCH
On October 29th, Lettuce Munch embraced the Halloween holiday at its annual Hocus Pocus Luncheon. At this festive event, we consciously tuned into the spiritual realm and focused on women's spiritual wellness. Guests enjoyed a boo-tastic charcuterie meal catered by Oliver’s Corner Butcher Shop, complemented by exquisitely decorated villain cookies by Sugar Up, Sugar and Roz Drayer’s famous aromatic mulled wine. Fabulous decorations, donated by Karyn Ryanand Azita Moosavian of Party Plz, Inc, set the mood, with gothic candelabras, black lace, bubbling cauldrons, and a levitating orb too. Extraordinary guest costumes, animatronic fortune telling gypsies, and tarot card readings by Heidi Briguglio, made for the most vibrant, enlightening, and “spiritual” event of the year. #Women'sClubofGreatFalls

COCKTAIL PARTIES
A sincere thank you to our gracious Azita Moosavian who hosted guests on a perfect Fall evening with a whimsical Halloween Cocktail party. The warm evening with the soft sounds of music, perfectly played by the DJ, was a lovely backdrop to the artfully lit seating areas, inside and out. There was an abundance of delicious food with an amazing variety of flavors. The bright sound of laughter and lively conversation filled our evening. The guests enjoyed the Halloween ambiance and many participated in the whimsy by dressing in costumes from a 1920 flapper to hippies to western garb.
Our next cocktail party is planned for the Spring of 2021.

THE REEL DEAL
Monthly Movies are back, Check out the REEL DEAL in ACTION!
We met for No Time To Die and we all loved everything, except the ending. Once again, we had a theater to ourselves. We had a larger turnout with 14 movie goers to sit freely in our reserved 300 seats private theater.
Join us Monday, November 29 for the Movie: Spencer, starring Kristen Stewart playing Princess Diana. Spencer is about the weekend that led to the end of Diana and Prince Charles’ troubled marriage. The movie gets its title from Diana’s maiden name, Spencer, indicating the moment Diana remembered who she was.

PHILANTHROPY

The Champagne and Canapes fundraiser for Friends of Riverbend Park (FORB) was a huge success. Completely self-funded by the Philanthropy group, the capacity-filled event on October 17th was held on a beautiful fall day at the home of Bambi and Barry Landew. Hugh Morrow (FORB President) attended the event with his wife, Ann, and gave an informative presentation about FORB to the guests. Everyone enjoyed gathering together while sampling delectable sweet and savory treats and sipping fine champagne. The guests left with a colorful flower bundle and a note of thanks for their generous donations.

ALL-CLUB MEETINGS

Our monthly All Club meeting in October was well attended, with a great deal of positive speaker feedback! We will continue in November with our guest speaker Joshua E. Hummer, Esq, from the Law Office of Joshua Hummer, speaking on a new and positive approach to planning for the future through Relational Estate Planning. The November meeting will be followed by lunch at Eugenia’s. Please RSVP and find more details on the time & location of the meetings through the club website or mobile app.

We encourage all NEW MEMBERS to come early for a social hour to ask questions and network with other members. Lunch will be offered informally immediately following club meetings at a different local restaurant each month. We have recently changed the RSVP format to include a post-lunch RSVP selection option to ensure effective coordination and pre-planning for those wishing to attend.

In December, we will have a special Monthly All Club Meeting holiday program at Brx American Bistro with Chef and Owner Ashwani Ahluwalia presenting some creative twists on holiday entertaining. Lunch will be served as a part of the holiday meeting along with a festive cash bar to include holiday cocktails and mocktails! Looking forward to enjoying the joys of the season and seeing everyone at the Monthly All Club Meetings!

Good Day. I’m posting in hope of being able to offer some assistance with the community. My company D’Artagnan is the purveyor of sustainably raised meat. We work with the best chefs, retailers, grocers and home chefs to provide antibiotic free and hormone free proteins, mushrooms and truffles. I have experienced the challenge and frustrations from the grocery stores and butcher shops being out of stock on much needed items. For some the option to leave the security of home isn’t an option due to health concerns. Furthermore, if you’re able to find these items online, scheduling a delivery is next to impossible. I have coordinated a program for residents to get free delivery direct to their doorstep via our refrigerated trucks. If you are interested, go to the page I have set up and click on the link http://homedelivery.dartagnan.com/greatfalls Please ensure to enter GreatFalls in the promo code at check out! I hope to make this program a useful and viable option for the community during this crisis. Stay safe and be well everyone!
