So many great things happening with BMI in Kenya. Here is an update from our man on the ground, Ken Gaston...
Jambo to All:
One of the missions I feel GOD has given me is to 'Empower Youths'. Sometimes it means breaking cultural norms, and that has gotten me into some disputes. Here's an example.
Although Charles, the recent birthday boy, has been 'churched' for many years, he's never been given the opportunity to teach. Why?? Kenyan culture says he's just a boy. Here, most Pastors don't consider Charles to be a young man capable of teaching GOD's Word. (sad)
We gave Charles the opportunity at our Noon Bible Study and he shined!! I'm still surprised this was his first opportunity because he did so well. He was familiar with the text, used no notes, and in this photo we have the 3 volunteers who helped him with his illustration.
I'm sharing this event with each of you, because this is an example of what your support is doing in Kenya. You are empowering Young Men as they transition into full grown Adults. The goal is simple. "Empowering Youths to be successful in Christ and productive in this world."
I thank each of you, Asante sana, for your support to this work. Your prayers, gifts, and emails are appreciated. May you be abundantly blest with the abundance of Jesus the Christ.
