We are dedicated to encouraging and promoting the resident Muslim community’s involvement and interests in the county by providing meaningful interaction between the resident Muslim community and the larger Montgomery County community.
Mission: To enable the Muslim community to work on charitable and effective projects alongside like-minded volunteers and partner organizations in the local community in Montgomery County, Maryland.

Valentine’s Day 2921!
Happy Valentine’s Day to Oaks. This year Nazia Imtiaz from Oaks DC Chapter and President of APNA Alliance distributed blankets to the needy families at the MCMF food distribution. We thank Nazia, Munnaza Hasnain and Hina Awan for their generous donation and participation in the MCMF food drive which served over 250 families serving over 1000 individuals.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY MUSLIM FOUNDATION DEDICATED THE MONTH OF JANUARY TO CELEBRATE THE LEGACY OF MARTIN LUTHER KING, SERVING 37,000 POUNDS OF FOOD AND DISTRIBUTING OVER 4000 COOKIES TO HOMELESS SHELTERS ON MLK DAY OF SERVICE
MCMF started the New year by serving dinners at the Interfaith Women’s shelter Every evening starting Jan 1st to Jan 13, 2021, different ethnic dinners were delivered to 35 women at the shelter. On January 10, 2021, MCMF held its January Drive-Thru Distribution and served food boxes to 520 families donating 60 lbs. of food box to each family. The boxes contained rice, pasta, pasta sauces, oil, milk, peanut butter, chicken, onions, potatoes, and carrots. MCMF distributed 31,200 pounds of food serving over 2000 individuals in MOCO. The event was followed by MCMF fresh produce distribution on January 16th, 2021, which distributed food boxes to over 150 families serving 5800 pounds of shelf-stable food and fresh produce to the families in need.
MCMF served 670 families with food and fresh produce in Jan 2021 distributing a total of over 37,000 pounds of food.
MCMF youth volunteer had a 1000 cookie challenge to serve baked goods to area shelter in MOCO. Youth volunteers far exceeded their target and baked and collected over 4000 cookies, brownies and cakes and donated to area shelters on Jan 18th, and Jan 19th, 2021. The shelters include - Interfaith Women's Shelter in Rockville and Silver Spring, Interfaith Men's Shelter, Priscilla House, Becky's house, Stepping Stone Shelter, Avery Half Way Home Treatment Center, Dwelling Place, Shephard's Table, Temporary Shelter for Women, Coalition for Homeless and Ar Rashidun Shelter. MCMF Volunteers spent over 600 hours on these projects.

Deepest condolences to Congressman Jamie Raskin and Mrs. Sarah Raskin.
Montgomery County Muslim Foundation (MCMF) extends their deepest condolences to Congressmen Jamie Raskin and his wife Sarah Raskin on the passing away of their beloved son.
Their heartfelt and powerful tribute to Tommy Raskin demonstrates that he was indeed an incredible human being and will be remembered as someone with “perfect heart and soul”. May his soul Rest In Peace and may God give strength to Congressman Raskin, Mrs. Raskin, Hannah, and Tabaitha during this very difficult time. We pray for the the departed soul and the entire family.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from MCMF!
On Dec 18th MCMF held its second drive thru holiday basket distribution. We served 135 families with Turkey dinner and fixings.
Great job by all the volunteers at Montgomery County Muslim Foundation packaging and distributing food to the needy regardless of faith! Well done!
On Sunday I stopped by the Montgomery County Muslim Foundation's Holiday Drive-thru Grocery Distribution event. They distributed 500 meals to residents of Montgomery County. I truly appreciate the work MCMF is doing during these challenging times and their commitment to our community. A big thank you to the many volunteers who helped put the event together.

MCMF, a grass-root nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization based in Montgomery County, Maryland has since 2008 exclusively pursued humanitarian work in the county fulfilling its mission to assist the needy residents of the county and encourage and promote the resident Muslim community’s involvement in humanitarian work. In particular, since the pandemic, it has been working to address the growing food insecurity in our communities. On December 13, the MCMF Food Pantry program held its Holiday Drive-Thru Distribution at the MCMF office and distributed 40,000 pounds of food to low-income families in Montgomery County. Over 550 cars lined up in the early hours to receive food baskets. MCMF distributed over 60 lbs. of food to each family serving over 2000 individuals. The food boxes containing rice, pasta, pasta sauces, oil, milk, peanut butter, chicken, and bags of fresh produce stuffed with onions, potatoes, cabbage, and carrots were loaded by volunteers in the trunks of the cars.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, MCMF has distributed over 178,000 lbs. pounds of food to low-income families in Montgomery county. MCMF holiday gift basket program distribution will be held in collaboration with the MOCO holiday basket program on December 18th and will serve Christmas dinners to 175 families.
County Executive Marc Elrich, County Council Vice President Gabe Albornoz, County Council member Sydney Katz, County Council member Evan Glass, Mumin Barre, Member Democratic Central Commitee attended the event and all commended the work of MCMF. County Executive issued a proclamation to MCMF for their services to the community. Ms.Aruna Miller, former member of MD house of delegates, District 15 Montgomery County and her husband attended the event and helped volunteers load food boxes in the cars. Santa made a surprise appearance and distributed candies to the kids in the cars. Ms. Miller praised the services of MCMF and added that that the event was “festive uplifting and exhilarating experience
