Assalamo alaikum warahmatullah wabarakatuh to all my dear friends, brothers and sisters in Islam. Kindly, I need your attention and some time to read this post till the end. Wish you all are enjoying Ramadan by the Grace of Allah, the Almighty and Exalted. May Allah bless us all and May He make this Ramadan to be the new beginnings of our lives. Aameen. Firstly, I will start with some Hadeeth regarding charity, donations, Zakaat or Sadaqah. 1. Prophet SAW said: Whoever helps his brother in his time of need, Allah will be there in his time of need ( Sahih Muslim ). 2. The most beloved to Allah are those who are most beneficial to the people ( Mu'jam Al-Awsat 6192). 3. Be merciful to those on the earth and the One above the heavens will have mercy upon you ( Sunan At-Tirmidhi 1924). 4. Whoever brought his (Muslim) brother out of a discomfort, Allah will bring him out of discomforts of the Day of Resurrection (Sahih Bukhari). 5. The believers' shade on the Day of Resurrection will be his charity (At-Tirmidhi). 6. The Prophet SAW said: The good deeds that will reach a believer after his death are - knowledge which he learned and spread; a righteous son whom he leaves behind; a copy of the Qur'an that he leaves as a legacy; a mosque that he built; a house that he built for wayfarers; a canal that he dug; or charity that he gave during his lifetime when he was in good health. These deeds will reach him after his death. Charity, for which the expression used in the Holy Qur'an is: "Spending out of what God has given you", means using your energy, talent, resources, money, possessions, or whatever else, to help and do good to those in need. And of course you all have better ideas than me on this topic. I would like to have a few minutes from u to read this article and hope am not wasting your time. I am Bushra Nuzaifa from Bangladesh and a very old member of this group. I was willing to write you all about it but I was too demure and hesitated because of the restrictions from my family members and relatives. Especially my relatives has forbidden me to do so as they think it is a matter of embarrassment. We are 5 in members (family). We lived in Saudi Arabia (KSA) for 18 years and currently we are in Bangladesh since 10 months except my father. We had to leave KSA because of the laws and conditions over there of which most of you are aware of. Before we leave our father unfortunately, he got into an accident and broke his right hand. On the other hand, our luggage were all packed and we had to leave him there in hope that Allah will take his care. After that we contacted him few times but now it has been 7 months we have no words from him. Please, remember him in ur prayers. Here, in Bangladesh, we yet couldn't adjust ourselves to the new environment; as a result leading us to sicknesses then and now. We had few money in our bank of which most of them we used in KSA and some in Bangladesh. And now we don't have anything left but yes, we received loans from our relatives. Now we stay in a rented house. And we are not sure about our education whether we will be able to continue with it. I don't have words to explain you more how hard time we are facing. And now I took this opportunity to write you because I hope none of you will underestimate any good deeds in this blessed month. Finally, I would like to ask for your help. Just a small amount of donation can help us. If anyone of you are willing to assist me then please make your donation here. This is my account number: Name: AKTER UDDIN CHOWDHURY Account number: 0703-02700452 Name of he bank: BANK ALFALAH LIMITED Address: Agrabad, Chittagong, Bangladesh. Thank you in advance for your contribution. You have no idea how much it means to me to have your support.
I attended the fundraising dinner last night and enjoyed the dry humor of the comedian. It was good to hear all the successful program being run by the organization. However, one of the thing that surprised me was the speaker of the Zabiha program. He did not have his facts correct as he did not participate or played any part in this program. He was happy to take the credit for the success of the program. It will be better for the organization to give the credit to the volunteers who actually do the work.
Merry Christmas and have a Happy New Year
