All 14 of the senior centers in our region are closed due to COVID-19, all senior center participants are receiving emergency home delivered meals. All other services are ongoing at this time with adjustments in policy allowing individuals to be served telephonically when appropriate rather than face to face. The SOWEGA Council on Aging is in close contact with providers and clients as this situation progresses.

We anticipate additional funds for emergency home delivered meals to be distributed to the region and are actively working to determine the logistics for serving those seniors who are homebound due to COVID-19. We are hopeful that we can serve more in the community as funds become available.

The well-being of our seniors is our priority. We are diligently working to ensure information and resources are available to our region. Please call our Aging & Disability Resource Connection at 800-282-6612. We are here to serve you.
