The Oak Cliff Lions Club is all about doing services to the community, especially in the Dallas Oak Cliff area. From local projects such as funding the Oak Cliff Eye Clinic facility (in the 1950's), to a major contribution to the Dallas Zoo for the Bird and Reptile House (in the 1960's), a gift of monetary funds to the Oak Cliff YMCA Building on South Hampton Road (in the 1970's) and to help launch the tactile exhibit for the visually impaired at the Dallas Zoo (in the 1990's). Our Club members have been ready and willing to meet the needs of our community. WE SERVE!

First volunteering at Soul Of Christ Ministry food pantry. 45 boxes (weighed about 40-50 pounds-fresh and packaged food) plus every kind of milks, cheeses, yoghurt, juices, ground meat, and loaves of bread were distributed. We still turned down some, due to not enough boxes being prepared. Three of their regular helpers were sick, and the pantry manager has family issue that she couldn’t make it. With the help of five Lions (Charlene Vezina, Sheryll McKay, Bob Hodge, Anissa MacKay, and Nia MacKay), they pulled it off really well. Thank you, Lions! Where there’s a need, there’s Lion!
