Following recommendations published by both the CDC and the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA), today Credo raised its voices in song following a 15 month silence.

When words alone cannot express,
All that the heart aches to confess,
Bring melody and rhythmic fire,
Bring instruments with bells and choir!
Bring music! Bring music! Bring music!

Anti-Asian racism and violent attacks on Asian elderly have only increased in recent months. Since COVID-19 became news in the United States, hate speech and violence against the AAPI community has run rampant. In February 2021, attacks, particularly on elderly Asian Americans, have spiked. Credo believes each ask is worthy of merit, but let us offer a few reasons why we hope you will support our mission and our work.

For night years, Credo has been using song to build bridges between diverse communities here at home and around the country and the world.

Because of Covid-19, our spring and our fall concerts were postponed.

With our concerts postponed, we lost the revenue that would have sustained us through the summer months.

We are all eager to resume just as soon as it is safe to do so, and planning is already underway for future in-person concerts.

Credo members can't wait to bring their song to you just as soon as possible.

As one Credo member remarked, "It's like a black hole. I miss singing so much. People send me virtual stuff all the time, but it isn't the same as the community we share when rehearsing and performing for others."

Our staff and board of directors are hard at work forging ahead and we ask for your help to ensure there is no further interruption to our programming.

Thank you in advance and, from our family to yours, we wish you well.
