(1)

Philippian Ministries is seeking to make people aware of help for healing the wounds of the past. Many have been to therapy and though they are feeling somewhat better, the have not resolved the pain that just doesn't seem to leave them. Spiritual closure is need for many of us who have suffered in the growing up years. We offer lifetime prayer for those who are seeking God and live with a desire to remove anything that could be standing between His heart and theirs. We have served in a number of areas of our country for 36 years. We have seen God do amazing things in the lives of those who come!

So many of us are enduring great trials in this season. Let these trials produce in you godly fruit. Yield to the Authority of the Lord over your life, knowing He is the Shepherd and Guardian of your soul. And, remember to praise Him continually for Who He is, The Alpha and Omega, Creator of Heaven and Earth, Lord of Hosts, Wonderful Counselor, King of kings and Prince of Peace!

Jezebel oppression – Teaching Humble Hearts

Some families seem to be dominated by a matriarch or patriarch who tries to “rule” over their family through the use of human wisdom or emotional manipulation in order to persuade others to go along with their choices. The person can come across as attention-seeking, manipulative, controlling, judgmental, proud, or volatile. Such descriptions may point to the operation of a Jezebel spirit in a family, which uses vulnerable people to bully God’s children into submission through fear, guilt, and accusation.

We are in a dark, winter season, a long-haul battle. We need to reach out to others to encourage them in the Word of God. To obey Psalm 27 and, "Wait for the Lord! For I would have DESPAIRED unless I believed I would see the GOODNESS of the Lord in the land of the living." We Praise You, Lord Jesus. "The world is Yours and all it contains." Let us not fear and give up, but ,"Put our HOPE in God." "No thing is too difficult for Jesus," nothing at all. Be well and be blessed dear friends. -candace

Praying you are focused on the Lord God Almighty as your Rock today. Stand firm in your faith. The devil prowls about looking for someone to devour. Be sober-minded and stand firm. And when you have done all you can do to stand, STAND therefore upon the Rock of your salvation!

He has planned all of eternity already. Nothing is a surprise to Him. Everything is under His control.

Our Father Who is in heaven, hallowed be Your Name!
Your Kingdom come! Your Will be done
on earth as It is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts,
as we forgive our debtors.
Do not lead us into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For Yours is the Kingdom and the Power and the Glory forever. Amen.

DAILY DEVOTIONAL – JANUARY 13, 2021

Finding Direction For Life

By David Wilkerson (1931-2011)

When Scripture says the Holy Spirit “abides” in us, it means God’s Spirit comes in and possesses our bodies, making it his temple. And because the Holy Spirit knows the mind and voice of the Father, he speaks God’s thoughts to us: “However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come” (John 16:13). The Holy Spirit is the voice of God in and to us!

If you have the Holy Spirit abiding in you, he will instruct you personally. Please know he doesn’t speak only to pastors, prophets and teachers, but to all followers of Jesus. This is evident all through the New Testament, as the Holy Spirit led his people, constantly saying to them, “Go here, go there…enter this town…anoint that person…” The early believers were led everywhere and in everything by the Holy Ghost!

And the Spirit never speaks a single word contrary to the Scriptures. Instead, he uses the Scriptures to speak clearly to us. He never gives us a “new revelation” apart from God’s Word. He opens up to us his revealed Word, to lead, guide and comfort us, and to show us things to come.

I am convinced God speaks only to those who, like Moses, “come and stand by him.” This means we have to spend quality time with the Lord daily—waiting on him to open our heart fully to hear his voice, not being rushed in his presence, believing he loves to speak to us. He won’t keep anything from us—and he’ll never allow us to be deceived or left in confusion. Even in the most difficult times, we’ll enjoy a time of great rejoicing—because he will reveal himself to us as never before.

It is well with my soul. God is on His Throne. The King of kings is the Righteous Judge and rules over all. Find you rest in Jesus. His will is always good, acceptable and perfect. We can trust Him and His timing.

Such beautiful, comforting words. May this song soothe your mind and encourage you to persevere.

Annie Johnson Flint

Verse 1
He giveth more grace when the burdens grow greater
He sendeth more strength when the labors increase
To added affliction He addeth His mercy;
To multiplied trials, His multiplied peace.

Chorus
His love has no limit; His grace has no measure.
His pow’r has no boundary known unto men.
For out of His infinite riches in Jesus,
He giveth, and giveth, and giveth again!

Verse 2
Fear not that thy need shall exceed His provision
Our God ever yearns His resources to share
Lean hard on the arm everlasting, availing
The Father both thee and thy load shall upbear

Chorus
His love has no limit; His grace has no measure.
His pow’r has no boundary known unto men.
For out of His infinite riches in Jesus,
He giveth, and giveth, and giveth again!

Verse 3
When we have exhausted our store of endurance
When our strength has failed ere the day is half done,
When we reach the end of our hoarded resources;
Our Father’s full giving is only begun.

Chorus
His love has no limit; His grace has no measure.
His pow’r has no boundary known unto men.
For out of His infinite riches in Jesus,
He giveth, and giveth, and giveth again!

When you come to Facebook in the morning, what are you looking for? What do you expect? What do you need? A friend? Hope? Connection? Encouragement? Compassion? Something to help you keep on keeping on? I think about these things when I post and I pray that my post will meet a need. I hope this one does. God loves you. Not just a little. He loves every inch of you. And He knows all of you. He made you perfectly. He says you are, "...fearfully and wonderfully made." You are one of His Wonderous Works. Remember that. When He sees you, He admires His work of art, His masterpiece. He had the most excellent purpose in mind when He created you and prepared good works for you to do. Are you doing them? Are you seeking His Face to guide and show you how? He will, you know. You, doing what God made you for, is a perfect and wonderful thing. Walk in ALL He has for you. Throw off the things or the people who hinder you from being ALL God made you to be! And, like a Loving Papa, run into His Arms, and He will hold you for as long as you need. And when you're ready to get started, He will strengthen and stir up your heart. He will increase your passion to complete what He made you to do! Praise God He is NOT finished with us yet! There is more pruning and weeding to be done. He is a kind and careful Gardener. He knows just what will cause His Beloved to grow. ♡

Chris Tomlin - I Will Rise (Lyrics)

"I Will Rise" by Chris Tomlin

There's a peace I've come to know
Though my heart and flesh may fail
There's an anchor for my soul
I can say "It is well"

Jesus has overcome
And the grave is overwhelmed
The victory is won
He is risen from the dead

[Chorus:]
And I will rise when He calls my name
No more sorrow, no more pain
I will rise on eagles' wings
Before my God fall on my knees
And rise
I will rise

There's a day that's drawing near
When this darkness breaks to light
And the shadows disappear
And my faith shall be my eyes

Jesus has overcome
And the grave is overwhelmed
The victory is won
He is risen from the dead

[Chorus:]
And I will rise when He calls my name
No more sorrow, no more pain
I will rise on eagles' wings
Before my God fall on my knees
And rise
I will rise

And I hear the voice of many angels sing,
"Worthy is the Lamb"
And I hear the cry of every longing heart,
"Worthy is the Lamb"
[x2]

[Chorus:]
And I will rise when He calls my name
No more sorrow, no more pain
I will rise on eagles' wings
Before my God fall on my knees
And rise
I will rise

Throughout the psalms, we are repeatedly commanded to sing, shout joyfully, serve God with gladness, enter His courts with thanksgiving. Though there are times for silence and somber prayer, there are also times for loud, joyful worship! Praising our Lord and Savior with all our mind, heart, body and strength gives Him pleasure! David never held back or worried about making a fool of himself before the people. He went into the Presence of His God with his whole heart, making it all about giving worth to the Creator and Refuge of his soul! Obey God's command today. Worship Him in spirit and in truth!

About a dozen of the Prayer Directors from Philippian Ministries went with me to Buena Vista, Colorado where we spent five days in a beautiful cabin. What a glorious place; majestic mountains, a rushing river and wildlife everywhere.
The morning after our arrival, the Lord had us go out into nature to have our devotional time one-on-one with Him, so each of us headed a separate direction. I soon found myself, not near the rushing river I had previously seen, but in a small area where a family of beavers had built a dam. I was by a quiet pool with water drifting slowly by.
I love classical music, so I took a tape of Vivaldi and began to play one of his symphonies. While I listened to this magnificent music, I looked around and noticed the great damage the beavers had done to the trees nearby and to the forest at large.
My heart cried, “Lord, the beaver builds wonderful homes, but must the process leave such devastation? Must there be so many of these unsightly teeth-etched stumps among the beautiful trees?”
I hardly finished speaking before He answered:

The rest of the trees you see are more beautiful because this little creature removed some. Out of this destruction that you think so needless, his magnificent home is built and the seemingly disfigured remains show the thinning of My forest. The living trees are now more beautiful because others have been removed.
So it is with you, My child. There are things within you that appear to be good, but need to be removed so that what is left can be more beautiful and useful to Me. What the human perceives as good is often only a distortion. By My Spirit and your yielded-ness, these distortions are exposed and removed. It is only then that the soul’s beauty can be seen by the fullness of My light. Fear not the process. Like the beaver, keep your eyes and heart on the home and the beauty that surrounds it.
This little creature’s abode is a fortress of power for it can change the flow of a river by divine decree. Like Me, this particular home is not comely, that looking upon it you should desire it, but, oh the wisdom hidden therein.
Safe and secure My little one lives, firmly planted in the midst of a raging river, totally unmoved by the dangers that surround, unconcerned about possible floods, unafraid of what could become of his little ones or his home should the waters swell and dismantle his place of security.
How differently he would build his home were it built upon fear. Would he build upon the main stream or the fast flowing river with its power and majesty? Would he build near the raging rapids? I think not.
Why do you suppose I planted this little one here? This furry character, insignificant among the giants of My wilderness, is a living testimony to My care, and a picture of you, My Little One.
The place I have called you to live is not comely that many should desire it. There will be some destruction of self to create it, but all that is left shall burst forth with a beauty that only the touch of My glory can explain.
Your new home is in a rather precarious place. A mighty river comes against it and flows around it, and yet the river itself must turn in the face of it, to shift the waters that would normally destroy.
Fear not a coming flood or sudden chaos, should giant tress fall near your resting place. For few in all of nature are more secure, even in the face of disaster, than those who live in the hollow of My hand in dangerous places.
Greet every day with joy as you survey the divine adventure in which I have placed you. Fear not, My Child, for I have caused King River to step aside that your abode should stand, and the floods you fear, these, too, are in My hands.
Fear not, for today is yours and Mine. You rest secure today, and if tomorrow brings a dangerous swell, then by the power of My right arm you shall prevail.
Some terrified will build their homes in rocky caves. No light or living water dances there. The darkness swallows up one’s joy of life and yet the heart shouts, ‘Here I am secure.’
Perhaps you think My tender call will stop if you have chosen caves instead of streams. How little you know the God of grace and love. For you will hear Me reaching out for you among the rocks and cliffs you thought secure.
My wooing song will echo tenderly, through breezes in the trees and morning stars. The darkness of the cave cannot defeat the distant call of rivers rushing by. Fear not. My songs are not for deafened hearts, but frightened children, fearful of My love and what it asks.
The river calls and one day very soon you’ll meet Me there. And at the river’s edge we will rejoice, for it is in this strange, precarious place, the mystery of My peace will build your home. Here light and water play outside your walls, and rivers move aside at My command. The raging floods cannot destroy you there. Though natural eye would say it isn’t wise, the heart of God prepares this home for you.
One day when darkness seems to overcome, you will respond to all My longing calls and you will deem the river, safer still, than the solid rock you called security.
The river calls, Beloved Child of Mine. Fear not for very soon you’ll meet Me there.

This was the longest response the Lord had ever given me, and it was an important one. It helped to open my heart to ask a difficult thing, for that day I asked the Lord to bring any and everything into my life that might make me all that He wanted me to be.

John MacArthur | This is The Gospel

ROMANS, CHAPTER 16, VERSES 16 & 17

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.”
