“Barely noticeable in the bottom of this photo is FDNY's Ladder 118 on their way to the Twin Towers. Every single man on that Truck died trying to rescue people that day. They were literally heading towards their own deaths when this photo was taken. They knew this job was a big one. I believe they knew firefighters would die. Yet, they answered the call. If that isn't the definition of courage then I don't know what is.”

I can't think of a better way to say it. This is 100% true

I can't think of a better way to say it. This is 100% true

David Clarke:

“It's not the police who need to be retrained, it's the public. We have grown into a mouthy, mobile phone wielding, vulgar, uncivil society with no personal responsibility and the attitude of 'it's the other person's fault', 'you owe me'. A society where children grow up with no boundaries or knowledge or concern for civil society and personal responsibility.

When an officer says "Put your hands up," then put your hands up! Don't reach for something in your pocket, your lap, your seat. There's plenty of reason for a police officer to feel threatened, there have been multiple assaults and ambushes on police officers lately. Comply with requests from the officer, have your day in court. Don't mouth off, or fight, or refuse to comply... that escalates the situation.

Police officers are our sons and daughters, fathers and mothers, brothers and sisters. They're black, white, brown, all colours, all ethnicities, all faiths, male and female, they are us. They see the worst side of humanity... the raped children, the bloody mangled bodies of traffic victims, the bruised and battered victims of domestic violence, homicide victims, body parts... day after day.

They work holidays while we have festive meals with our families. They miss school events with their kids, birthdays, anniversaries, all those special occasions that we take for granted. They work in all types of weather, under dangerous conditions, for relatively low pay.

They have extensive training, but they are human. When there are numerous attacks on them, they become hyper vigilant for a reason, they have become targets. When a police officer encounters any person... any person, whether at a traffic stop, a street confrontation, an arrest, whatever... that situation has the potential to become life threatening. You, Mr & Mrs/Miss Civilian, also have the responsibility of keeping the situation from getting out of control.

Many law enforcement officers are Veterans. They've been in service to this nation most of their lives, whether on the battlefield or protecting us here at home. They are the only thing that stands between us and anarchy in the streets.

If you want to protect your child, teach them respect.”

8/8 Update:
We are well aware of the conflicting reports regarding the permits. For those unaware, we had zero affiliation with the permits, organizers, or the display. We are very appreciative for all those who support Law Enforcement and First Responders and we were only too happy to share their message and display.
We had no idea this post would spread as much as it did. We are really disappointed with the amount of negative feedback (including violence, threats, and outright cruel messages and comments) we have received.
It is certainly okay to have different views on certain topics and that is part of why this is such a great Country. We just wish we could all do a better job of supporting each other and respecting each other. This Country is so divided right now and we pray things improve.

8/2 Original post:
And the aerial shots are in. Can you say WOW?!?!
Thank you to the City of Tampa and the Mayor for approving the permits. Thank you to the roughly 40+ patriots who spent over 4 hours working on this. Truly amazing when the silent majority is fed up and decides to speak up.
Thank you Drones above the Bay for the incredible photo.
We hope our Tampa Police Department Family can set up a city detail and surveillance since it’s right in front of their PD.

Targeted because of the uniforms they wore and the oath they took. They were just trying to go help someone in need, someone who they never met, someone who they were told was being assaulted. Yet they say the police are the problem. Where's the outcry? Where's the rage? Where's the protests?

The names on the outside were wounded that night. The names on the inside paid the ultimate sacrifice. All gave some...some gave all.

7/7/16 five heroes went to work a "peaceful" protest. Five heroes never came home.

7/7/16 changed all of us...we all still carry the scars.

They were honorable men. They walked the line for justice. They were sons, brothers, husbands and friends.

They didn't want fame, they didn't want notoriety, they didn't want money. They wanted to do their jobs with honor and respect. They wanted to protect the innocent from the evil....

There were many heroes that night but these five fell. The dallas five paid the ultimate sacrifice so others could live.

God bless each of you and God bless your family's that miss you very much!

The media and others have forgotten their names. Please never forget them!

Public Service Announcement!

04/04/2020

Hello Facebook Friends!

We just wanted to let you know that your Dallad Police Choir is very busy being tasked around the city providing police services to everyone in need during this Convid-19 pandemic. Due to that (and the quarantine orders saying no gathering of more than 10 people), all of our events, performances, and practices have been cancelled until further notice!

You can still support the Dallas Police Choir, and all DFW first responders by donating to local charities, food banks, and volunteer organizations during this difficult time.

If you know of someone in need, send us a message and we will do our best to get services to them!

Stay safe, and please stay at home!

Too many emergency vehicles get hit on the side of the freeway because people can’t #moveover for us

MOVE OVER: Last night, 30+ agencies and 60+ #vehicles formed an arrow to raise awareness about the #MoveOver law.
The law requires drivers to move to the farthest lane for an #emergency vehicle or tow truck. If the driver is unable to move over, he or she must slow down.

To our Facebook followers,
We would like to wish you a Happy Thanksgiving! We are very thankful for your support of our mission to celebrating harmony throughout the community.
I met some last week who said today should be called Turkey Day, because we should be thankful everyday. And we agree.

While you are home with your friends and family, please remember all those who aren't, who are away from their loved ones so they can still respond to those who need help.

So, Happy Turkey Day! And thanks to all!

Please stay away from the storm areas unless you really need to be there!!
Do not go to 'survey the damage' if it's not your home or business. We need to keep the areas clear to prevent injury and to allow emergency crews to work without additional hazards and people around

Update on October 20th Storm:

In the interest of safety, the Dallas Police Department urges residents in the areas impacted by the October 20 evening storm to remain indoors from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. from today through Thursday. Non-residents are also urged to stay out of these areas during this timeframe. There may still be downed power lines and debris in these neighborhoods that could pose a safety hazard.

Crews from the City, Oncor and Atmos will be entering and exiting the areas to make repairs. Additionally, crews from the Office of Emergency Management and Dallas Fire Rescue will be working to complete their assessment by tomorrow. Please be mindful of crews at work.

There will also be extra police presence in these areas. Residents are encouraged to call 9-1-1 to report crimes in progress or use the iWatchDallas app to report any suspicious activity. The iWatchDallas app is available on the App Store or Google Play for download.

We regret to inform you all on the passing of Texas Department of Public Safety Trooper Moises Sanchez, nearly five months after suffering from head injuries sustained from being shot in the line of duty in April.

At approximately 8:45 p.m. on April 6, 2019, Trooper Sanchez approached a two-vehicle crash scene in Edinburg. The driver of one of the vehicles fled the scene and later shot Trooper Sanchez. The suspect was captured and will now face the charge of Capital Murder.

Three years ago, it all started. The planning of funerals, the pouring of support, the morning and the celebrating of heros.

Three years ago, the choir dropped everything to sing praises for our fallen brothers, making ourselves available for the many funerals and memorials over the coming days.

We would like to thank everyone for the continuing support that allows us to sing for the city and honor our officers.

Thank you to all

Hello, My name is Matthew Johnson and I handle the social media for Homes for Heroes. I'm reaching out to you because we hear all the time from law enforcement members who use our program, "I really wish I had known about this program before." So, we want members of your law enforcement community to know what's available to them. To sum it up, Homes for Heroes helps law enforcement save money on a home. We are a national program with local specialists in the Dallas area who would be honored to serve your law enforcement community when they buy, sell or refinance a home. Please visit www.HomesForHeroes.com for more information. Also, our #1 priority is to serve those who selflessly serve others, so please let me know if you have any upcoming community events or initiatives where you may need assistance. I would be happy to share that information with our local specialists. Thank you!
