Over the last year, Teaching Trust worked together with TCB Analytics to gather all publicly available data released by the Texas Education Agency between 2012 and 2019 in one place – and began the process of tidying it so that it is usable for longitudinal data analysis.

Since Teaching Trust is winding down operations over the next several months, we have decided to make this scraped data (and all the R code used to scrape and tidy it) publicly available via Kaggle datasets.

We are encouraging other education researchers and data scientists to use the data and code for their projects.

Celebrating Juneteenth — Teaching Trust

Teaching Trust will close our office on 6/19 to commemorate #Juneteenth as an organization holiday intended for staff members to rest, reflect, and engage.

We are fortunate to have a Black woman as our COO, a leader who since her tenure began with us three years ago has made it an organizational priority to recognize often overlooked history of Black, Indigenous, and People of Color in this country and offer staff paid time off.

More on Juneteenth and #TeachingTrust's path towards educational equity via the link👇

Our work here is fraught with stumbles and mistakes but we remain firmly on the path toward being stronger #racialequity champions – our staff, our school partners, students, and families deserve no less.

Teaching Trust will close our office on 6/19 to commemorate Juneteenth as an organization holiday intended for staff members to rest, reflect, and engage.

Fueling Leaders. Transforming Schools.

Teaching Trust transforms public schools by fueling school leaders.

Our approach is rooted in the research: strong school leadership increases student learning. We engage school leaders in professional development, going deep on foundational concepts proven to move the needle for schools. In turn, school leaders build trusting and effective school teams. Together, school teams strengthen data practices, instructional planning, and school culture to create immediate and lasting impact for their students.

Our partnership with school leaders is ongoing – we are not just here to give training, send them off with a binder, and hope all goes well. We help implement best practices across campuses by sitting shoulder-to-shoulder with each leader. We offer counsel, on-the-ground support, and accountability across the arc of two years. Our coaching is a living relationship.

We work with school leaders at all levels, from the teacher to the campus coach to the principal to the principal manager. We believe, and have seen firsthand, that strong, aligned leadership across campus, district, and state level is a game changer for students.
