The CAF B-29/B-24 Squadron was created in the 1970s to oversee the maintenance and operation of the world’s only airworthy B-29 “FIFI”. Since that time the squadron has grown to include the CAF’s B-24A Liberator "Diamond Lil" and our PT-13 Stearman. The squadron operates these two rare bombers to honor America’s military aviation and veterans through flight and exhibition. We tour the country starting in the spring and finishing in late fall averaging over 30 city stops per season. Our tour is designed to give the public an opportunity to see these rare and precious aircraft fly, to get inside, see and touch the cockpit, and take rides if they so desire. Rides and tours are the money makers that allow us to continue to display these expensive to operate aircraft. Our volunteers do all this in an effort to keep the spirit alive of those who flew, built and maintained them for our country.
