Happy Fall Everyone!

As we continue to navigate current times, finding ways to keep safely connected with one another can still be a challenge for our community as we are still experiencing everything from program closures to a loss of safe options in the community for some of our folks.

In light of all of this, our amazing staff and those we serve continue to rise to the occasion and are always on the lookout for ways to connect with each other and the world around them.

Recently, one of our staff Tara got a crew together to work on some fall decorations in a safe outdoor environment – Thank you Tara and looking snazzy with those pumpkins guys!

We are always looking out for safe ideas and opportunities to help keep our clients connected, happy, and healthy. If you have any ideas, suggestions, etc. feel free to drop us a line here or DM us!

Stay safe,

Full Circle of Choices

Thank you Big Break Regional Shorelinefor a Saturday of safe adventures at the break's 2021 Coastal Cleanup and All Abilities Event.

More fun, education, and relaxation than you can shake a stick (or fishing pole in this case) at!

The event, activities, staff, and volunteers were top notch - we look forward to partnering with you in the future!

Huge thanks to East Bay Regional Park District for everything you are doing to help bring open spaces and nature to our entire community - from improving access to trails and paths to hosting events like this!

We think our pictures and happy faces (under our masks) speak for themselves.

Megan nominated Jonathan and Aaron for being major visionaries for Dwayne & Eric! They planned an outing to Berkeley with an overabundance of precautions to keep them safe and healthy. It was a ton of work for Jonathan and Aaron, but Dwayne & Eric were so happy to get out of the house and in the world for a bit! I'm so grateful to have these two staff that I trust completely to keep our guys safe. ❤️

Megan is nominating Erin for being the creative SIP staff. She has been such a visionary for her clients during the shelter-in-place; she planned arts-and-crafts projects and took care of all the supplies need to do so. She has been painting and making tie-dye T-shirts with Dwayne, Eric, and Jenna. What a fun way to spend their time stuck at home!

A double recognition today! First Aaron Prather has generously donated clothes and other household supplies to Dwayne and Eric. Eric scored some nice new clothes. Austin took it upon himself to take care of some items in the garage at Dwayne and Eric's house and now there is light!

Next Megan nominated Natalie Neal!

I'd like to nominate Natalie. She's become such a vital part of Jenna's success. She trains every new staff. She adjusts her schedule often based on Jenna's needs. She does a lot of Jenna's shopping for her, often going out of her way to make sure Jenna has the exact things she wants and needs. Every day, I see how much she cares for Jenna and wants to contribute to her success. She's a joy to be around and naturally enforces Full Circle's philosophy and core values. I'm so grateful for how much of herself she's invested in Jenna and in Full Circle. She's a treasure and we're lucky to have her!

From Megan

I'd love to recognize Aaron Prather and Kathy Stevens. Aaron set up a table at the edge of the garage so Dwayne & Eric can safely eat outside, take in some nature and sunshine, and enjoy their neighborhood. He even made a special early-birthday meal for Eric. Then, Kathy went out of her way to make sure Aaron was recognized for this and everything else he does for the guys. It's wonderful to see my team at Dwayne & Eric's lift each other up and celebrate each other's contributions. They're constantly finding new ways to be team players as well as visionaries for their clients! By the way, the picture of Eric, Dwayne and Aaron is at the zoo and it's not a real monkey.

Kathy Stevens, our longest working staff at Full Circle, proved today why we are so lucky she has stayed with us for all this time. She created a miniature golf course in the backyard of Dwayne and Eric's house so they could have some fun today. Thank you Kathy for all your years of service and your dedication to the people you serve.

Our Hero for today is Jonathan Wardrip and here is the reason his supervisor Megan Hodapp nominated him, during a conversation they had about picking up extra shifts. "It's really fine if you don't want certain shifts, I totally get that you have to weigh whether each shift/client is worth it, just let me know." And he responded, "Every shift may not be worth it, but a client always is." I was very humbled. And then Sue said he's already taking some shifts for her. I'm grateful to have him be so reliable, flexible, communicative, appreciative, present during his shifts, understanding, and a team player. He works a ton of hours and is always saying yes to more fill-ins. We're lucky to have him. ❤️

I have 2 heros to thank today. First David Wright, who supports Bill Trinh, for going above and beyond working many shifts to cover for the numerous sick staff. He is also doing this with the best attitude as you can see from the smiles on his and Bill's face. Thank you David!
