Welcome! - Wynnton Neighborhood Network

FOOD FOR THOUGHT:

❤️February❤️ is typically our slowest month of the year in the pantry. This year was no exception. During our “slowest” month WNN served 307 families. To put perspective on that please see the breakdown below:

❤️ 307 families means 1259 bags of food.

❤️ 307 families means 892 individuals.

❤️ 892 individuals means 372 of them were children.

These were our numbers for our “slowest” month of the year.

Please help us continue to serve those in our community who need it most! We are always accepting donations of food and personal hygiene items. You may also contribute by clicking on the donation link on our brand new website! Thank you for your support!

WNN is delighted to announce that Project Linus has partnered with us to help them deliver handmade blankets to children in need!

Originally based in Colorado, PROJECT LINUS has given away over 2 million blankets in 25 years. Locally, Project Linus has distributed over 700 blankets and wishes to reach more children.

These handmade blankets are sewn, quilted, tied, crocheted and knitted exclusively by volunteers. WNN has been entrusted with over 50 blankets to donate to our clients age 18 and under. We are thrilled and honored to be a part of this process! Thank you to Carrie Yvonne Staut for reaching out to us and allowing us to match these handmade gifts with children who will treasure them!

🥰 Many thanks to everyone in our community who helped us to serve over 250 families with our Thanksgiving Grocery Distribution in November!

We are gearing up to serve 150 families for our Christmas event on December 17 and 18 in addition to our daily goals of serving up to 30 families per day, 5 days per week.

We are always accepting donations of canned goods, which are running low this year due to lower than usual in person attendance at church services during the COVID pandemic. (We typically receive a large amount of food donations from the 8 church communities in our network). We welcome your support in any form, which also includes liking and sharing our page! Be blessed!
