People from all walks of life benefit from the Bentonville Islamic Center Drive-Through Pantry. “This experience volunteering and establishing the pantry has really challenged our stereotypes about who is in need,” said Issa Abboud, one of the volunteers. While the volunteer interest is slow we hope we can recruit a few more regulars. We have resources to feed but need hands.

*Important Reminder - BIC Vaccine Survey* We need your help to revisit BIC current policy related to COVID restrictions. Thus far we have less than 25 response from community. *Just a kind reminder* that that we are following the * Interim Public Health Recommendations for Fully Vaccinated People by cdc.gov** The article is located at: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/fully-vaccinated-guidance.html
The *key item* to keep in mind is the *Summary of Recent Changes in these recommendations as of May 13th, 2021* that talks about Private Establishments in which *Bentonville Islamic Center also qualifies, As a **private establishment they have right to choose if they want to enforce masks or not* . So please help us make an informed decision. * the form for BIC Members to fill out is located at: * https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScV68K4fPvViUy1kQCnBU6KqamQ-qopWGKpHsYvHJ_F3BNAwQ/viewform?

* We are starting to see some brothers without masks in masjid and we try to manage that on case by case basis but we would like to have everyone adhere to same policy and keep everyone safe to be respectful to everyone* Thanks for your understanding. JazakaAllah.

**Dear Brothers, & Sisters Jazakallah **

A huge Thanks and gratitude from EC for all your efforts .

The only reason it all worked out because we all stayed our paths and took our responsibilities seriously. A message our religion teaches us the same .

Special Thanks to everyone who helped

(a) plan the namaz /Taraweeh & iftari details
(b) volunteers who helped with iftari setup and clean
(c) families who sponsored the ifrari and also the breakfast on Eid
(d) volunteers who worked numerous hours helping load supplies for prayers in park day before Eid , pickup food from multiple sources very early morning on Eid and helped with the distribution and clean up on Eid

Now, **
it is time for all of us to take a break and enjoy some great family and friends time** . We are all reasonable humans so let’s do that while being careful.

We have came a long way in Covid world and while it is not over, it is getting better . We hope that Eid-al-Adha **May Alllah make it much more easier on us to celebrate **

**InshaAllah Ameen ..With Huge Gratitude**

General information

Welcome the Bentonville Islamic Center in Northwest Arkansas, USA. Our community is a perfect blend and example of the unity in the diversity, having people of different nationalities and languages working together in harmony with commitment towards building a perfect model of the life-style according to the noble principles of Islam. Established in 2005 as a non-profit religious organization, the original members of the BIC started in a small home. As the community grew from a handful, the group decided to move on to larger rented halls, until finally moving into the current mosque located in Bentonville. Today, we are a small community of 150 members from the Northwest Arkansas and Southwestern Missouri areas. Our community members come from Bentonville, Rogers, Centerton, Lowell, Springdale, and many of the neighboring areas. Our congregation is compromised of engineers, doctors, scientists, teachers, business owners and other professions working for the betterment of the entire community of Northwest Arkansas. We are a peace advocating group that participates with interfaith dialogues and events to ensure unity with all other faiths.

Promoting Peace and Frendship Among Neighbors

Northwest Arkansans from all different faiths walked alongside each other Sunday morning to promote peace, especially after recent attacks in California.

Shalom, salaam, peace; no matter what way you say it that was the message at the Waterway and First Christian Church in Bentonville.

Christians, Jews, Muslims, and all walks of life came together to show peace and understanding between their religions.

The 3rd Annual Peace Walk started off with an interfaith prayer service, followed by the walk from First Christian Church to the Bentonville Islamic Center where locals gathered to share stories, create friendships and show a mutual aspiration for peace across the world.

Our community's journalists, filmmakers, policymakers, activists, and attorneys are telling our stories and representing us in media and government. The least we can do is to support them while they are in college and to help them get their first impactful job. Can you please gift ISF your Zakat so we can support and empower the next American Muslim leaders? Please help me reach our Ramadan goal. Can you be ISF's next visionary? http://bit.ly/LaunchGoodISF2021
