With Thanksgiving approaching please keep the following in mind

With Xmas on the way and Covid still very present we know many people are ordering many things online. If you use Amazon and would be willing to name Hope for Hannah as your charity every time your order (use type in amazon smile) it costs you nothing and they donate .05 percent to our rescue. Every donation regardless of size helps. We have taken in so many dogs and puppies requiring extensive medical care before we can place them we are scrambling for any help we can get. If you feel this is a reasonable request and have friends or relatives perhaps you could ask them to do the same. Every penny goes toward saving the life of an innocent dog... we all thank you!!

Urgent help needed!!
Meet Eddie and Trixie !
Eddie was found in a ditch near death with multiple snake bites all over his body. His leg was swollen 6x it’s normal size and the vets didn’t give him much hope. But Eddie is a warrior and a fighter and overcame it is currently in foster and recovering from his wounds. He is currently on medication but his vet bills are enormous please help this little guy if you can he is approximately 12 weeks white and tan lab hound mix and will be ready for adoption as soon as his medication and treatments are finished.
Trixie is an eight-month-old feist mix. She tested positive for heartworm and will need injections directly into her heart with treatments ranging close to $2000 this little girl will not live without the treatments. The treatments are due to take approximately three months and then we will be able to put Trixie up for adoption.
We understand that this is a hard time for everyone right now during this pandemic we’re asking for any amount of help that you can give us to help make both of these dogs have a better life and get the treatment they deserve thank you in advance.

Meet Murphy and Bailey. Their owner passed a few months ago and they are currently with a foster home who works a lot and unfortunately cannot keep these two babies. They are 11 and 12. They have been raised together since they were puppies so they cannot be separated. They are neutered and up-to-date on shots. They love being out in the sun in the yard they are not very fond of walking on a leash but they do love to cuddle we are asking that they be placed together in a calm home. If interested please message us on this page.

Hope for Hannah Rescue is a non-profit organization and survives solely on donations and our adoption events at our local Petsmart. Due to the current health concerns, adoption events have been postponed indefinitely. Unfortunately, we continue to receive abandoned and abused dogs that need our help. We are asking for your help!

The pictures below are a few of our Special Needs dogs.

Annie was born with megaesophagus. Specialists decided that with special feedings of slurry and the use of a Baily chair, Annie could function for a while. If the special feedings do not continue to work, a feeding tube could be used or surgery will need to be performed. She will be two years this month.

Jenny came to us before Christmas with the possibility of being pregnant. Thank God, she wasn’t, as they believe she is around 10 years old. We got her spayed and had a malignant breast mass removed. Jenny will remain with her foster parents where she will continue to receive the love and medical care that she never had
received before.

Trixxie and her four puppies came to us from a deplorable hoarding situation and till recently lived with her foster family. She has severe cataracts and we are hoping with your help we can at least get one of her eyes operated on. She is still young and deserves to see the people that are now giving her the love and kisses she deserves.

Marcus also came to us from hoarding conditions. He not only is blind but was suffering from a severe eye infection. After we were able to cure the eye infection he was adopted by a wonderful family. He is so happy in his new home.

I know that these are trying times for everyone. We are turning to our followers and previous adopters for help. If each one of you could make a small donation to Hope for Hannah Rescue, we can continue to provide our rescues with the love and medical care that they so desperately need.

Thank you to all our “essential workers .” They are our heroes!!!

This is absolutely devastating this is a local shelter to us please say prayers for camp Pappillian as they go through this devastating tragedy nobody in the animal rescue world ever wants to see this

This morning Camp Papillon Animal Shelter suffered a devastating loss. Our cat cottage was completely destroyed by fire and all 10 furbabies in our care died. Sheila Aleman has been the cat coordinator since 2017 helping to rescue hundreds of cats during her tenure. To us, each and every little life is important. Each had their own stories of survival. They all made it here through challenges, 4 have been with us since March of 2019 rescued from a hoarding situation. Thanks to the best staff and vounteers they were surrounded by love, some for the first time in their lives.

Sabrina, Stella and Guinness were just kittens. Brayleigh, Belle, Nancy, Dennie, Hugo, Tango and Tao will be the angels helping us from above as we refocus and rebuild to continue the work we have always done.

We thank all of you who have helped us through the years to save so many lives. Thank you to Blue Ridge Hook and Ladder and the surrounding area firefighters who helped us this morning.
We will continue to do what we do with your continued support.

Please go to www.camppapillon.org to make a donation to help us get back on our feet.
Monthly donations will help us tremendously and can be arranged through our website. Every dollar counts.

So just an update on an emergency situation that occurred in the beginning of December. We rescued 13 dogs/ puppies from a breeding/hoarding situation. We are taking in more of them also. We have 2 blind Maltese from this situation that will need a special person to take them. So as it turns out the wonderful lady Sharon that runs our shelter was extremely ill so we brought all 13 dogs puppies here and placed them in foster homes. It turns out 4 of the moms were very pregnant and 3 had pups. As it all unraveled we had some awesome volunteers step up and take care of the pregnant moms Debbie has 2 of the moms one has since delivered 7 healthy yorkie mix pups. One of the Maltese delivered 4 pups but sadly only 1 survived we believe because of the mom being so malnourished. Thanks to Nancy stacie and finally Lisette who now has the mom and surviving pup. And also to Dee and Randy for also stepping up to help out in this emergency. Also thank you to Jackie louise ashley and new Foster Katie for taking the mamas that had babies already. All the moms will be up for adoption along with the pups when they are old enough!! Clara and her pup are not available as the foster is adopting them we will keep you updated on all of these dogs and when they will be ready for forever homes. If you have it in your heart to adopt the blind dog that just need some love and good nutrition please email Hope For Hannah [email protected] they are available at this time both are Maltese

Adopted
We desperately need a foster/forever home for Trixie. She is a German Shepard hound mix we believe. She is getting spayed hopefully this week if we can find a place where she can heal comfortably. She was originally one of our puppies who we adopted out in April. Unfortunately the people did not have time for her so we took her back. She is approximately 8 to 9 months old very energetic little girl who just loves everyone and everything.

Just an update ....Happy Gotcha day Loki ( formerly winslow)!! 7 years flew by! Thank you so much Hope for Hanna for letting us adopt the best boy ever!! Hes all smiles in this pic ❤
We adopted "Carlton" now renamed UTLEY from Hope for Hannah Rescue in October of 2013. On June 18 he will be seven years old. He has many friends and he met his brother by sheer chance when they were about 3 years old. They now have play dates and they have even had a sleepover. Utley has brought us a tremendous amount of joy and we are so happy Hope for Hannah provided us with such a wonderful four legged family member.
Today marks 1 year since we adopted Rosco (formerly known as Jeremy) for H4H! It has been a year of watching his grow, learn, and be a goofball! We are truly grateful to have been given the opportunity to add him to our family! Heres to many, many more years of adventures and shenanigans!
We brought Raffi, formerly Rawlie, home last Saturday. He's adjusted extremely well to his new forever home! We are very grateful to have him as an addition to our family and excited for the journey ahead!
Thank you to all the wonderful people that adopted this past weekend.😍 We met such great adopters and wish you "furever" happiness.
