COVID-19 Loudoun Food Insecurity Relief organized by Lynne Ast, Pres. Rotary Club of Sterling

If there is one thing we have learned since the Coronavirus began its gallop across the world it is that not only is no man an island, but we are our brothers’ keeper. We need to keep each other safe, fed and cared for. It is definitely inconvenient to not find what we ‘want’ in the grocery store, but that’s a far cry from not having what we need.
Please help your neighbors help your other neighbors. Donate. Today. Please. 300 packages need to go out every week. This is not a one shot deal.

Join us at The Health & Wellness Expo on April 25, 2020. Bigger and better than ever, leverage this unique opportunity to enhance the quality of the lives of friends, family and yourself. A unique gathering. A special gathering. Don’t miss it!

Due to its enormous success, The Health & Wellness Expo is celebrating its fourth year in Sterling, Virginia on April 25th at the Sterling Middle School from 10 am to 2 pm. As in previous years, the goal of the Expo is to showcase non-profits and governmental agencies that provide health services to those living in Loudoun County. Located under one roof the Expo supports the greatest number of exhibitors that are charged with helping residents with quality of life considerations including safety, security, legal aid and housing. This event has become the clearing house on public services and opportunities eliminating the need to travel to Leesburg or offices throughout the county to seek and receive HELP. All residents are welcome to attend this free of charge event.

This year thanks to Loudoun County Public Schools, the Expo will have additional space for more health providers such as the Habitat for Humanity, , demonstrations, and activities designed to engage the entire family. The YMCA will also offer a full day of fun and games in celebration of their annual Get Healthy Day.

Please attend and discover available repair and renovation funds for your home from Habitat for Humanity, receive items from Wegmans and meet face-to-face with one of their Pharmacist. Get your blood pressure tested by Inova and many other health services from Stone Springs Hospital. Donate blood with the American Red Cross, have your children get their eyes and hearing tested by the Lions, donate to Loudoun Hunger Relief and discover the generosity of area churches. Addiction and treatment will be offered with 90 other practical and helpful services free of charge to all.

Announcing this year's Loudoun 40 Under 40

Congratulations to Loudoun's 40 Under 40 Winners. We honor each of these talented community leaders, but especially to three of our Rotary Club of Ashburn, VA members. Angel Cerritos, Erin Rayner, and Justin Roberts. We salute you! Thank you for living a life of Service Above Self and being Rotarians of Action!

About 40 Under 40:
Loudoun 40 Under 40 awards recognize Loudoun County's rising business and community leaders, honoring 40 bright stars under the age of 40 annually. In its seventh year, the awards program has featured our area’s most accomplished and inspiring young talent. Our past honorees represent a broad swath of our Loudoun community; among them are teachers, doctors, attorneys, CEOs, bankers, engineers, authors, professional athletes and more. Some are first-generation Americans, some are daughters and sons of the Revolution. Each honoree is a standout in his or her industry. Regardless of background or profession, all are committed to making our community a better place to live and work.
