In loving memory of our precious Little Ricky (Rick Alan Bodine Jr. ) or as we called him P'Nut, who on September 15, 2011, at 11 months old passed away while in the care of home daycare provider Cassandra Gray. After P'nut's passing I discovered that Ms. Gray is convicted felon for prescription fraud to which we had NO KNOWLEDGE nor were there laws in place to prevent her from caring for children then or now, in addition Ms. Gray has a long history of breaking the law. This foundation has been founded to help raise awareness to other families of the hidden dangers of home daycare providers. We no longer live in the day and age that you can trust someone simply on their word or word of mouth of their character. This foundation is continually researching ways parents can help protect their children by having as many resources and as much information as needed so that they may be well informed when making the choice on where to place their child/children for care.. We want to honor P'nut's memory by helping as many families as possible. Our goals for this foundation is too continually bring awareness to the community and to our Nation. We are working on finding ways to change and pass laws to help keep the children of our nation that are in child care as safe as possible. We are determined to help other families not have to endure the loss our entire family has suffered with the loss of such a precious child. Children are the most precious gift this world has to offer as well as being our future. They should be protected in any and every way possible. Parents need more resources to be able to do their due diligence in choosing the safest and best child care facility for their children and when a child is harmed or dies in a child care provider's care, the laws should be more stringent to protect children and penalties should be stiff for those whom circumvent the law.
Mission: To raise awareness on the possible dangers of daycare providers. To change state and county laws to regulate and educate in home day care providers and better protect the children being cared in these homes In the future as we grow, to help families who have suffered the loss of a child , through financial means and to pass on a any resources that we have available.
Our overall goal is to bring awareness to prevent neglect, abuse and death of babies, infants and children in daycare . We are striving to be a national foundation, in order to reach families across the country. Children our most precious gift and our future, so let's ensure they are well protected.
