FREE FISH DINNERS: Today Rain or Shine!
Veterans Fishing Adventue is offering FREE (Donations accepted) catfish dinners every Today to anyone in need. The nonprofit Veterans Fishing Adventure normally takes vets out on free fishing trips. Since they can’t do that right now, they are instead using their boat to catch fresh catfish and turn it into hot meals for those in need. The meals also come with sides and dessert.

The meals are offered at the Greater Morning Star Apostolic Church in Alexandria, every Sunday from 12-5 pm or until fish run out. The veterans helping run the program tell me they’re glad to be able to give back to the community during this time.

Happy 18th Birthday Hailey

Veterans Fishing Adventure would like to wish our founder, Hailey Moore, a very happy 18th birthday.

It is because of her dedication to helping veterans, that at the young age of 16, she inspired her father and others to join her cause to create a way for all veterans to experience a fishing/boating adventure that would have otherwise been impossible. What started with one boat has now grown to 3, due to Hailey’s dedicated work ethic.

On behalf of veterans and their families, we would like to say a special thank you and send our wishes for a wonderful birthday.

It's with a heavy heart, Veterans Fishing Adventure mourns the passing of Joey Lanza. A great friend and a VFA volunteer who was always willing to help. Joey always brought a smile to everyone he touched. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Veterans Fishing Adventure will be creating a mural in tribute to Joey on our ACC towing vehicle with highlights from his biggest catch!

Moore family, not really good at speaking. Been meaning to do this for a while. I truly want to thank you for everything you guys did for me. It wasn’t just a fantastic time fishing. You guys made me family. Thank you so much for tour kindness and hospitality. I think I speak for all Vets when I say, “God bless you guys for putting so something like this together for us. Can’t tell you how awesome of a time I had with you all. Look forward to next time!” Till then, save me a BIG one.
