Dear Community,

Thank you for taking the first step, showing up at the General Assembly: Election 2015 Phase One. It will take all of us working together to bring change to this community, and we wanted to make sure you know about all the opportunities to get involved in our community and online. Election 2015 Phase One, was a success. Out of it, we elected the Election Committee. The Assembly selected, Mr. Michael Lupai, Mr. Kwathi Ajawin, Ms. Natalina Malwal, Mr. Ezekiel Thon, and Pastor Samuel Taban. The committee is mandated to make all election preparations, accept applications for all open positions, and oversee the Bylaws till February 7th.

So, please join us on The General Assembly: Election 2015 Final Phase on Saturday February 07, 2015 at Cornerstone: An Evangelical Free Church.

Can you make it out to vote on Saturday, February 07, 2015..?

My South Sudanese across the Washington Metropolitan Area (D.M.V.) are going to be coming out to VOTE. Don't MISS OUT.!! #DONOTSTANDIDLYBY, #BETHECHANGE.

It's one of the most powerful ways you can make a difference, and it should be one of the biggest weekends of action we're organizing this Winter.

Thank you.

~Dear Family and Friends~
As the holiday season is upon us, we find ourselves reflecting on the past years and those who have helped shape our community. First and foremost Seasons Greetings, Merry Christmas and Happy Prosperous New Year to you, and your loved ones. I am
writing this to update TSSC-DC with the latest. On Sunday, November 23, 2014 the South Sudanese Community, USA, Executive Committee held a meeting with TSSC-DC Community Leaders. The meeting was inclusive of our Church Leaders, and Ethnic Community Leaders to discuss what is next for our community. Many of you may already know dating before December 15, 2013 the community was already fragmented, however it only made the gap bigger and made our community weaker.

As we anticipate 2015, let us seriously reflect on the issues raised by the recent senseless war, from a community prospective, which has provoked many and inspired some to be involved. It is time to start a genuine connection, dialogue and friendship of sincerity
with our community members. As a result of that meeting, we have agreed to call for General Assembly meeting on Saturday, January 10, 2015
