See the below video to see what Principal Canton, the school Social Worker, Ms. Cruz, and the rest of the John Adams team are pulling together for our families. Thank you for all of your hard work!

You can still donate, and all funds raised will go directly to the school via Ms. Cruz so we can continue to help families.

Born as Michelle Robinson, she hails from the Southside of Chicago, IL. We knew and loved her as the First Lady of the United States. A mother, wife, lawyer, and finely educated woman, Michelle Obama is still trailblazing alongside her husband, Former President Barack Obama, and is the first African American First Lady to serve in the White House.

Having attended Princeton University and then Harvard Law School, she is only one of three First Ladies to have obtained her post-graduate degree, which for her is a Juris Doctorate. During her tenure as such, she pursued such interests as poverty, health, and education. (http://www.biography.com/people/michelle-obama-307592…)

Also during her tenure, she was actively involved in advocating for support for military families, as well as strongly advocating for her husband’s legislative goals, all while being an active mother to her daughters, Sasha and Malia. (http://www.history.com/topics/first-ladies/michelle-obama)

Through all this, she presents herself with the utmost pride, dignity, strength, and respect.
Mrs. Obama has rightfully earned her own spot in Black History and today we salute her. #BlackHistoryMonth

“Summer camps aren’t open, and my kids don’t like learning online,” says a mom. The BtNL summer camps teach kids leadership and teamwork skills through fun and creative activities. They participate in the same activities as an onsite camp, just now at home. Students have the opportunity to meet other kids from around the country, and access a youth leadership program that is traditionally based exclusively in Portland, Oregon. To learn more about BtNL online camps visit www.breakthenormleadership.com
