Teal Pumpkin Project is a world- wide movement to create a safer, happi- er, Halloween for all kids. Many Hal- loween treats aren’t safe for children with life-threatening food allergies. Put- ting a teal-colored pumpkin on your doorstep means you have non
-food treats available, such as glow sticks or small, inexpen- sive toys. This simple act promotes inclusion for trick- or-treaters with food aller- gies, etc.

GFWC Challenge Project 2020 – 2022
Teen Dating Violence (TDV)

One in 11 teens report being a victim of physical
dating abuse every year. Many teens do not report it be- cause they are afraid to tell friends and family.
TDV can include certain types of unhealthy behaviors such as these:
 Physical violence is when a person hurts or tries to
hurt a partner by hitting, kicking, or using another
type of physical force.
 Sexual violence is forcing or attempting to force a part-
ner to take part in a sex act or a non-physical sexual
event when the partner does not or cannot consent.
 Psychological aggression is the use of verbal and non-
verbal communication with the intent to harm another person mentally or emotionally and/or exert control over another.
 Financial abuse can include dictating what you can and cannot buy or requiring you to share control of your bank accounts.
 Stalking is a pattern of repeated, unwanted attention and contact by a partner that causes fear or concern for one’s own safety or the safety of someone close to the victim.
 Digital abuse is a relatively new type of abuse, espe- cially with the growth of social media, GPS, and smart phones including obsessive and/or unhealthy texting or sexting.

I pray everyone is staying home and following the rules/law; therefore protecting ourselves and others. I’d liked to encourage you to ask the Lord how you might minister to others while in quarantine; how you can be a blessing to others. I’m praying that for myself as well.
Ladies, just know you are truly loved.

PRICELESS AND BEAUTIFUL... Jan's sons could not attend the meeting honoring their Mother, so they sent her these flowers - can't get much better than that. A son's love can melt a Mama's heart. You are so blessed!
