General information

Dear Parents/Guardians: Albany Leadership Charter High School for Girls (ALH) invites you to join our exciting project to increase parental involvement in our school. Studies show parental involvement seems to decrease during most students’ high school careers, but lack of participation sends the wrong message. High School is when parents should be vigilant. Some students have reported that it was in 9th and 10th grades when their friends made choices that took them off the path to achieving their dreams. Unfortunately, parents had no idea of the direction that their daughters were heading. Students whose parents are involved in their school do better academically. The ALH Parent Advisory Board (PAB) is your opportunity to partner with us to make sure your daughter stays on the path to academic and leadership success. The PAB will be implementing various Parent Committees to offer students extracurricular activities to supplement their learning experience. Parents, guardians, administrators, and community members will be invited to join our team. An awareness session to discuss plans and share ideas will be announced in the near future. Please plan to attend. We are encouraging you to join this adventure. D. Rebekah Francis Office & Relations Administrator
